We had a sewer line backing up into our downstairs toilette and shower and we needed someone immediately.  We called and we did not even receive a call back. So unprofessional.

The Plumbing Doctor company was very responsive and willing to take a look at sewer line without a minimum charge.
Josh was our guy.  He did both the gas line repair and the sewer line repair.  We greatly enjoyed working with him.  He was very responsive to our questions/issues (even responding to text messages over the weekend).  He explained the process and was upfront about the different cost options available to us.
The gas line leak/repair was fixed on the first try (we heard stories of it taking multiple times).  The sewer line repair was a bit more involved but Josh was able to help us navigate that repair as well.  His workmanship appears to be of good quality.  He was also very patient with us as we had to take into consideration some unique issues of having an older house.
Overall, I highly recommend calling the Plumbing Doctors and ask for Josh.

We had one toilet that would not flush--the water level rose to the brim of the bowl and then took a couple hours to go back down--and a bathtub with a very slow drain. This morning we called Plumbing Doctor and were given a time frame of 10am -12 noon; the plumber showed up at 10:10. He covered his shoes before entering the house, went to look at the two jibs that needed doing, and then gave us a quote: $250.00 (note: this seemed reasonable to us, but we have never had to hire a plumber before and cannot be sure if the flat rate $125 for each job is good or not.)
Both jobs took about 30 minutes and the toilet now works and for the first time I can actually hear water going down the drain.
The plumber was considerate, professional, and cleaned up after he was done. I certainly have no complaints, and will use them again if the need arises.

They tried to upsell me hard saying that 3/4 inch piping would not provide enough gas to fuel for a gas stove and insisting they re pie from the gas meter (with 3/4 inch pipe!

The whole process went very well and fairly quickly. Plumbing MD of Dixon was very responsive and was able to sent a leak detection specialist - Mark Hardy - out immediately on a Saturday to confirm a leak in our foundation. Nightmares of having our floor jackhammered and the attendant mess went away when Mark told us he could repair the leak by rerouting some of the plumbing in the walls. All the reroutes took place in the garage so there were no holes in the walls inside house; which was fantastic. Not including the 90 minute leak detection session, the repair took about 4 hours. The city inspector was impressed and specifically commented on the talents of Mark from Dixon Plumbing MD. The nice warm bathroom floor, which clued us in to the hot water leak in the first place, was eventually gone. PGE spiked to twice normal due to the leak and the water heater constantly having to replace and heat the lost water. Plumbing MD was money well spent... and work well done! Thanks and we would definitely recommend their work and Mark Hardy!

The guy came out with reasonable pricing. He got sick and then sent another guy who was very professional and polite, but was very slow, and charged double. I found it very frustrating that I didn t get any results from the guy regarding the price. I m not going to use them again because of this.
Response from PLUMBING DOCTOR

"All of our technicians are employees of our company, not contracted workers. Also, we use flat-rate pricing and the cost of the job is not based on how long it takes but rather what tasks we perform. We take any concerns our customers have very seriously and would welcome you to contact our office if you have had any issues in the past that you would like to discuss. Thank you. Justin Farias, Plumbing MD Inc."
