Comfort Control Heating & Air Conditioning

Mr. Sims is the owner and consultant of Comfort Control. Mr. Sims came to my home and did the inspection within 24 hours of my call. He did a thorough check of my HVAC system as well. He gave me a quote and within one or two days the work began. There were two or three men working on the project and it took only two days to complete. When the work was completed, one of the workers (foreman or lead man) came in and checked all of the floor vents. I asked that the vents be resealed/taped because I knew the sealing was not very good. He did all of the ones that he could reach without taking walls or woodwork apart. The entire job was satisfactory and done at a very good price. I have not had the system checked independently for efficiency, but we do get more heat/cooling faster and quieter. If I had to say there may be one part that was not attended to, I would have to say it would be cleanup. I am not sure if it would be the company’s job or my responsibility, but the metal ductwork where it bends upward to the floor vents were not cleared of dust and debris. It was fully visible and there was plenty of it to be brushed and vacuumed out. I did this myself, but it could have easily done from below by the workers if they chose to do it. I did not mention it to the workers because it was so obvious and they did reseal the areas around the floor registers as I requested.

They never finish the work and never had inspections. Called and all I get was and answer machine.

Our air conditioning wasn't cooling.  The company had a cancellation and were able to come out right away and performed the basic service.  The tech was nice and professional.  We were told that freon could be added, but it probably wouldn't be worth the cost.  We appreciated not wasting the extra money at the time, if we needed to replace the unit right away.  We were also told that the unit's hard start was no longer working.  The service call was slightly higher than other companies were charging and upon calling another company (who did add freon and the unit is still working) we discovered that the hard start was working just fine.  The reason that we called another company was that Comfort had told us they would give us a quote for a new unit, but they never followed through and since they hadn't added freon we were still without a functioning air conditioning system.  We will be replacing the system, but with the other company.

We had a problem with the air conditioner and they came out on a weekend and did not charge any extra to fix the problem. The technician was professional and worked really h****** the problem. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Service was fantastic. The technician quickly determined that the thermostat was shot. He then helped me determine that I could install a new one my self, saving me $300. Further, he suspected that my heating unit might be under recall, chased down the necessary information, and followed up to tell me that it was not. I will definitely use this firm again.
