It's not legal for Liberty Woodworking to demand a 50% deposit. He is currently under investigation by the CSLB for this & other pending breaches of contract. 2) Thomas ordered the wrong cabinet door design then demanded additional money for his mistake. 3) He outsourced drawer boxes with ¼? bottoms that would not support heavy items - initially stated ½? support. 4) He gave us 1-day notice for the cabinet installation, then delayed the entire work for 2 weeks. 6) We requested the crown molding to be set flush with the cabinet door - He never did it. 7) He made inaccurate measurements and blamed the uneven walls. His error caused a series of problems with the $6000 quartzite countertop. 8) His painter Jose created 25 areas of paint bleed on our brand new wood floors. After texts & emails, Thomas agreed to correct all his mistakes. When he returned, he only addressed what he wanted & NEVER FIXED ANY of what he agreed to. His attorney placed a lien on our home & threatened to sue us.

Very professional covered areas to Dust and traffic so No trail of workers. Showed. Cleaned up all areas daily. Supper nice worked very respectful of my home and did a wonderful Job. On time daily. Checked with me every day on progress and work was permit. Kitchen Looks wonderful

Started this project as a "reface" of my old cabinets. After meeting with Tom several times changed this job to completely new cabinets. So glad we did. My cabinets are beautiful, the process was seamless, and we couldn't be happier. Tom answered all my questions, made astute suggestions based on his cabinet experience, and kept his timeline as promised. Both "Tom's" owner, and associate were professional, left my house clean each day, and did excellent work. I would highly recommend this company for new cabinets.

My husband and I are happy we hired Liberty Woodworking! We met Tom, the owner of Liberty Woodworking when he came to give us a quote to re-do our kitchen cabinets. We got 3 quotes, and Tomâ s was half that of the other two "big box" stores plus he would replace not just re-face all our outdated cabinets. I read reviews about Liberty Woodworking, like the one I am writing now, to be sure the quote would result in quality materials and workmanship. It does! Tom was always on time and did what he said he would do. My kitchen cabinets are everything I wanted them to be and more. They were professional, considerate of COVID-19 issues and the cabinets are beautiful!

Liberty woodworking did a wonderful job with our 20 year old cabinets. They were professional, courteous, punctual, inconsiderate considering the climate surrounding COVID-19. The cabinets to install look wonderful and make a world of difference in our new kitchen. I will definitely be suggesting them to any of our friends who are looking to do this type of update.

I got several quotes on my cabinet refacing project. Tom was prompt in arriving and gave me several options for me to consider. I received a written bid which included bids for extra options I was considering. I chose Liberty to do the work. Every one I worked with was friendly and helpful, the job was done in the projected time and the cabinets look great! He also recommended a company to replace my countertops and they were also great. We called several contractors for refacing our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, replacing countertops, and adding a couple of new cabinets. I have to say the experience was very frustrating until we got a call from Liberty Woodworking. Tom Hughes (owner) was by far the most professional, fully explaining every step of the process, including options and suggestions to optimize our storage space and $'s. We had estimates from 4-5 companies, most told us they could not do several of the things we wanted. Liberty exceeded our expectations in quality of products, design and installation experience. Tom's price was by far the best and included much more than other were offering. Tom Birch was our installer, it was a pleasure to have him in our home the the entire week during the installation. Tom was friendly & super conscientious making sure everything was done perfectly. By the time the job was complete we felt as though he was a friend we would welcome in our home any time. Thank you Tom & Tom, we are extremely pleased with our new kitchen and bathroom, we have so much more space, everything is so much nicer.

I evaluated several cabinet contractors, 2 were on par with the general market & 1 stood out above & beyond the rest - Liberty! Tom was on time to our meeting, brought all of the necessary materials & walked me thru the process, the various products that fit within my budget & highlighted the way they take care of every customer. I initially selected to call this company because of their reviews. When I called, I spoke to the owner Tom. After a few minutes of talking to him, I felt comfortable with him as a person and his overall knowledge of refacing cabinets. As a result, I set an appointment to have him come over and give me a quote. Tom arrived on time and was very easy to talk to. Every concern I had was addressed and it was obvious that he knew what he was doing. My wife and I felt good about the price and quality of materials used so we agreed to go forward with using Liberty Woodworking to reface our old school kitchen cabinets. Tom came over again with the contract and to collect half of the money for the job up front. Our installation date was set for approximately 1 month later. On the day of the installation I was greeted by another Tom. He was a younger guy but extremely professional, polite, knowledgeable about his craft, and just seemed like an all-around nice guy. I was immediately comfortable with him working in my home. There were some things that were agreed upon with the owner that may not have been communicated to the installer Tom. I am not sure, but when I saw that things were slightly different than what I had agreed to with Tom the owner, I sent Tom the owner an email with pictures. His response was 100% professional, apologetic and immediately assured me that the issue would be corrected. The next day Tom the installer came out and said he was sorry about the situation and told me how they were going to correct it. He immediately began to correct the issue and did not make me feel weird or uncomfortable in any way. He could not have handled it any better. My wife and I were so impressed, we were actually glad this little mishap happened because we got to see what type of company and people we were truly dealing with. Tom continued working on the cabinets and Tom the owner stopped by the day before the job was completed and just made sure everything was as it should be. Again, he followed through on everything he promised. After 4-5 days of working on the cabinets, they were completed. I am an engineer and pay close attention to detail. I can say in all honesty that they did a phenomenal job on the cabinets. My wife and I could not be happier. Tom and Liberty Woodworking are a class act and do awesome work. I would confidently recommend them to anyone looking to get their cabinets refaced.

Both Tom the owner and Tom the installer were excellent to work with. Both were professional and very customer focused, making every effort to ensure a good experience and a quality product. They did what they said they were going to do, showed up on time, cleaned up after each day's work, and went above and beyond to provide for some special requests. I highly recommend this company.

Both Toms (the owner and the installer) were really good to work with. Tom the owner was very helpful in providing a straight up quote for what we asked for, and also provided plenty of worthwhile options to get the kitchen and bathroom cabinets we wanted. Pricing was very reasonable. We also ended up getting two new custom cabinets made which came out beautifully. Tom the installer was very courteous and professional throughout the installation - a real pleasure to have in our home. Final results came out great - good workmanship and quality. Would highly recommend Liberty Woodworking to anyone requiring resurfacing or custom cabinetry.

From the first phone call, Tom was great! He had ideas right then for how I could deal with a damaged kitchen cabinet door. Not only could he do the work, but there were choices in how to make it look good again. He could also deal with the door that had been refaced and I had six colors to choose from. What drew us to Liberty Woodworking was all the 5 star reviews. We were not disappointed, our expectations were totally exceeded!! We had cabinets resurfaced in our two bathrooms and the kitchen, along with all of the drawers. We were told it would take 5 days to complete>and it took 5 days! Tom is an easygoing guy and comes up with helpful suggestions BUT KNOWS FROM EXPERIENCE NOT TO PICK A STYLE OR COLOR FOR YOU. He may explain some factors that might (OR might not) make your pick the best BUT in the end IT IS YOUR DECISION. We mentioned that we needed a cabinet to hold our DVR, DVD, VCR, Cable Box, Printer, Shredder and Tom came up with a great idea and design, then built it himself. It had a sliding shelf for our printer and shredder, two drawers we had never thought about and room for everything else. It came with a false bottom so we could hide all of the long cables out of sight. When we mentioned that the cabinet would probably need be moved often, Tom decided to make the bottom solid plywood (which easily slides on our carpet) instead of using 4 legs. He installed the bottom moulding high enough that it looks like it is at the bottom of the cabinet, but is isn't. It is raised just enough that after the cabinet sinks info the carpeting it is about 1/16" of an inch above the carpet (which you can't see) this prevents it from being torn off when sliding the cabinet across the carpet. Tom will only uses top of the line hardware for his soft close drawers and doors. You are required to furnish your own drawer and cabinet pulls/knobs and handles, again due to personal preferences that he cannot make for you. This is the FIRST TIME EVER that we have felt comfortable enough with a contractor that we left them alone in our house while we went to Home Depot and then went out to lunch. I never thought that would happen in my lifetime!! Peace of mind is something you can't buy. The attention to detail was amazing. In one bathroom, where it was almost impossible to use plastic sheeting to close off the area (to prevent dust from escaping into the rest of the house)> THEY HAND SANDED the wood instead of using an orbital sander!! It took more time to do the work, but (I was told) it was the Right Thing to do, so that's what they did. There was no dust in the air and the residue was vacuumed up immediately_WOW. As customers often do, we originally had colors in mind but changed them. Tom came out a few times to show us our choices and never made us feel uneasy about his return trips to our house. His selection of material and colors is awesome. If you have dealt with contractors in the past you will find Tom and his crew to be the most friendly, courteous, on time, honest, polite people you will ever hire. As it ended up we chose Tom to do our cabinets over some other bids that cost less. The other companies didn't seem to have the same knowledge, expertise, or selection that Tom had. They did not offer the same ideas of how to trim the cabinets, until we suggested what Tom's bid included, then they said that they could do that. We ABSOLUTELY made the right decision. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! If you want a great looking result, made with quality materials that will last, from a genuinely nice guy go with Tom Hughes & crew at Liberty Woodworking.
