He is a hard worker, he is fair and prompt. He is very honest and his prices are reasonable.

Any handyman can fix a toilet, right? Well, not if you have my toilet — a round, 25-year old Kohler. It seems whoever designed this toilet had a mean streak: You have to push its handle down from the back, instead of the front. The result: Guests break it while trying to flush it. So I’ve had Roy to my house a number of times. The last time, I tried to fix the toilet myself with some verbal encouragement from Roy and a part from Home Depot. After the second part from Home Depot didn’t fit, I ordered a part from Kohler and called Roy. Unfortunately, the part was right-handed instead of left-handed. Roy took the part and the paperwork with him, called Kohler, got them to send me another part for free and then came back and installed the new part within minutes. Roy has been our 'go to' handyman since I came to Desert Hot Springs in 2014. He has done many small and larger jobs for us. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and will explain what he is doing and why. I have been quite pleased with his work in general. He is busy so you do have to work with him on schedule but if it's an emergency he will work with you.

Roy, of course, showed up on time, he knows what he's doing, is reasonably priced and professional. Of course I will hire him again, best handyman ever!

I have a rental property in Desert Hot Springs and I live in LA so having someone I can depend on for general repairs is very important. Roy has worked for me for several years and he does great work. He always show up when he says he will, that in itself is a minor miracle, does a professional job and his costs are reasonable. The last time he was at my house, he repaired a door, fixed a lock and repaired some cabinets. He also suggests ways I can save money if possible, which is always appreciated. He is also always very nice to work with and I highly recommend him. Sheila

Roy and his helper came out and performed the work quickly and cleaned up nicely when they were done. I originally brought Roy out to replace the fascia but he suggested just repairing it which saved me about 50%. He a good guy and I'll call him again if I need his services. Thanks Roy!

They did a good job but they weren't very good on clean-up. They were prompt. They were here when they said they were going to be. It's just the clean-up wasn't very good.

He put home repair and I thought that he could do the plumbing. I called him for plumbing job and he couldn't do so he had to ask somebody else. It took him about a month to do it. They don't follow up with the customer to repair it. It was taking a long time and he didn't do it. He was hiring a plumber.

We would not use them again. He was nice. He tried to do the job. He wasn't very timely. The price was kind of little high. He showed up when he said he would show up.

He couldn't get the remote to work so I took the remote back to the store and got credit for it. He was an okay guy and he did everything right. There's nothing he could have done to make my experience better.

We were charged at time of service, and I am requesting a refund. The actual bathroom sink that we needed fixed (and paid for on Angie's list) was not fixed by Roy's Home Repair. We paid him that day. I am requesting a $135 refund for services not completed.

Everything worked out just fine.  He brought an assistant and completed everything from start to finish with no involvement on my part.  Both people were very friendly and professional.  He called ahead to confirm the appointment then arrived as promised.  I wouldn't hesitate to call Roy again when I need a handyman.

Roy did a great job in cold and rainy weather - including the necessary  soldering to  complete this outdoor operation.
Roy honored his estimate even though the job took longer than expected because of wet and windy weather conditions. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat!
