The work was good, but it was difficult dealing with Jose (Jr.) aloofness, stubbornness, and middling customer service. He created a very nice plan, then deviated somewhat from it and seemed put out when I insisted the install be done per his plan. He also said I did not need weed cloth because it was the desert. Now I have devil grass popping up. He was often late. I was down at the second home to make sure all was done properly because of the errors, but Jose jr. seemed offended and would sometimes pull the crew until I had to go back to LA. Just a bit too much attitude for a $25,000 job. could have been 5 stars. Jose Sr. is a gentleman.

J & J Landscaping was terrific! We had more than 3000 sq ft of concrete removed and replaced with pavers. We also had a section of grass replaced with artificial turf. The quality of their work was impeccable. In particular, watching them prep the areas where the pavers and turf went really impressed us. They helped us create a beautiful design for our pavers, took us to where we could see examples in person, and were concerned with even the smallest details. As we, and some of our neighbors found out, J&J has competitive rates. For the quality of their work, they might charge a premium price, but they donâ t. We could not recommend them more highly. If we could, we would upload photos of how great their finished product looks, but this site does not have that feature.

The company provided excellent, reliable service. The work was high quality, the company did what it said it was going to do, and the company performed its job in a timely manner.

Jose and his father were very good. They landscaped around our pool,put in new irrigation and brought in a truck load of riverrock. This was all done on 2 of the hottest days.They said they could do it in 2 days and they did. They didn't try to sell any extras which I really appreciated. Jose was very professional and knowledgeable of his work. I wasn't sure when picking the pavers and really let him decide. It couldn't have turned out any better. Love the finish work. He & His employees were all very hard working and professional. Everything was cleaned up and they never left a mess.

Jose is very nice and polite. Told him what I wanted done the day before. He came back and on time and he did precisely that. Took me to Lowes to get stones for fill in and did a great job. Place was a mess nothing done for a year and now it looks wonderful. Highly recommend him. Will have him come back on a monthly basis from now on. Thanks Jose!

We spent over $18,000 with the company and they do not warrant their labor or installation. Only material, so they are going to charge us for repairs to our landscape lighting system. I do not recommend them if you are looking for any kind of warranty followup.

Jose does exactly what he says he will do. He returns calls and texts promptly. He is very neat and polite. He’s flexible. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good landscaper.

I can't believe that this job is already complete! Jose was on the the job when arranged, with his crew, and got the job done in 2 days! I have never been happier with a landscaper. I would recommend Jose to my most picky friend!

I am very happy with my desert landscape. When they came to consult for the estimate I gave them my ideas of what I was looking for. They listened and made some suggestions that I liked. They worked with me to help with plant selection, letting me know that some of my suggestions weren't the best choices, and offered alternates. My only criticism is communication and punctuality. I was told they would be here one day, and after texting to find out if they were coming I heard back that they would be here the next day. I know it's a very busy season for them, so I understood the issues with scheduling, but keeping me informed would have been appreciated. This is why I gave them a four star for customer service. With that said, I would still hire them again for additional work.
