UNIVERSITY LANDSCAPING

They were very thorough and clean.  I was quoted a price before they began their work, but was charged less when they finished sooner than anticipated.

The work began as scheduled, the crew was punctual and worked hard. They appeared to do a good job initially. Difficulties started to appear when I asked for the promised landscape design. Jim Styers brought me his "Western Garden" book and told me to select the plants I wanted him to plant. After several futile attempts to schedule a meeting with Mrs. Styers, she finally showed up and promised to go to a nursery and select appropriate plants. When I went to the nursery to pick up the plants, I was informed that Mrs. Styers had not selected any plants for the project but left it up to the nursery owners and me to make the design and plant selection. In the end, Jim Styers only planted half of the necessary plants. Since completion of the project last year, many of the new plants died and some old ones that had presumably been removed, grew again. In addition to performing unsatisfactory work, this contractor and his wife treated me with unprecedented rudeness and disrespect.
