MG Painting

Matt put sample colors on several places around the house. Good thing, the colors I chose did not look how I envisioned them. Matt helped me find the tone of green I was looking for. The crew was friendly and worked fast. They repaired and patched cracks and holes in the stucco. They cleaned up afterwards. I love coming home to my "new" house. I am hiring Matt again this year to paint a couple of rooms and hallways.

We wanted to buy a Craftsman-style home or build a new one. Neither option seemed workable, so we hired a contractor to change the exterior of our home to look as much as possible like a modern version of a Craftsman. (It was orignally built as a semi-Ranch style.) We requested bids from three painting contractors, and the prices were all very close. We selected MG Painting because they were highly recommended by a neighbor. Matt, the co-owner, was somewhat at a disadvantage in submitting an accurate bid because the exterior carpentry was still being done when he first saw the house. We mutually agreed to put a contingency allowance in the contract for painting new trim work that had not yet been completed. The final invoice did not use all of the contingency, which was unexpected. Our house entailed so much detail work, I frankly don't know how MG made any profit. The crew was very professional, friendly, and courteous. It's obvious that they enjoy their work. Unlike some painting companies, Matt and his partner actually get involved in the projects, painting side-by-side with the crew when necessary. They know what's going on with the job because they're not just sitting back in the office. It turned out that other contractors we used were familiar with MG, and complimented us on choosing MG. Here's another point that may seem small, but something I definitely noticed. Most contractors eat continuously, dropping their food wrappers wherever they are working. The MG painters took regular breaks in the mid-morning and mid-afternoon, and all gathered at one spot near the sidewalk, where the paint cans and equipment were located. They ate there and cleaned up when done. As a result, I did not find candy wrappers, etc, scattered around the house. This may seem like a small point, but I think it reflects the overall work ethic and professionalism of MG Painting. We are planning some interior remodeling in 2014, and will definitely have MG do the painting; we would not think of hiring anyone else.

All I can say is I would go with this company again PURELY for Matt's work ethic.
He knows how to do business, is excellent with his customers, AND backs up his work 1000%.
I totally trust him and his word is good.
How many people can you take on their word these days??

He does an awesome job. He is really really good. He is here everyday on time. We had to let one guy go because he wouldn't come to work on time. We have had no problems with them. They are doing a lot of stuff for us, and so he is going to be here for a while. He will also paint a dog house that is currently being built. We have used him in the past, and he will come and fix it, he doesn't give us a hard time about it.

They showed up on time, developed an estimate that was cheaper than Brooks, got to the job within the week and did a great job. Everything sparkles! And they completely cleaned up their mess - I couldn't even tell they'd been there.

We got bid and their bid was maybe a titch above other people but it was in the ballpark with the others - it wasn't something that would chase you away, and when you talk to other people about them, they just come out number one. We had them do the total exterior of our house and we had them do the interior of our house and they were extremely helpful; they boxed up everything and moved it. They said we didn't have to worry about it and that they would take care of all that. And their prices are pretty much like anybody else's but nobody else does that. Of all the companies that we've ever gotten through Angie's List, they are the most outstanding.

Working with MG Painting -- Matt Ginsburg and his crew -- was a pleasure from start to finish. He has an excellent reputation, and his bid was considerably less than the other we solicited. He and his crew arrived when they said they would and were always professional.
He painted the exterior of our home, and the detached garage. His preparation was thorough and meticulous -- his crew did 3 rounds of caulking before starting to paint! The painting itself was very carefully done, and our home now looks better than when it was brand new!
He and his crew were careful to explain each step and consulted us regularly during the job. There were NO extra charges. We couldn't have been more pleased with the job, and the price was very reasonable.

They were very good. They were very meticulous and clean, and I would have them again.

The experience was great. I liked the responsiveness and care they took. I have had such bad experiences with painters in the past, but they come when you call them, even if it is a Sunday. They come out when called, if they missed any patch and helped me to put in the lock on my door, which they didn't have to, but they did it. My brother who came from Mid-West liked the painting, too. I will use them again in the future.

Theybegan and completed as planned. They needed little direction, were very neat and left the p,ace very clean with an excellent paint job. Workers were very friendly and all spoke English!

They had to move in scaffolding to do the work. On the way out they even washed the windows for me. It went really well. When I do the exterior painting in a couple of years, I plan to use them. Their quality is outstanding. Mark Ginsburg was the guy.

All the workers were prompt and very neat. They cleaned up after themselves. Their prices were very reasonable and I highly recommend them. They pay attention to detail.

This company was superb. I received a prompt and thorough bid, timely communication regarding dates and all work was done exactly as per the written bid and according to my expectations. A walk-through was done after the job was completed, and some touch ups happily done. This was the most professional service I have had performed in my home and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others. I will never bother to consult with another painting contractor for future painting needs. The management and workers were dependable, prompt, courteous, skilled and the house looks beautiful.

THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW EFFICIENT AND PERFECT THIS JOB AND COMPANY IS. THE WORKERS ARE PERSONABLE AND I FELT VERY SAFE HAVING THEM IN MY HOME. EVERYTHING WAS CLEANED UP AND THE JOB WAS DONE VERY QUICKLY. THE PRICING WAS VERY REASONABLE AND I WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE THE JOB WITHIN A GREAT AMOUNT OF TIME.
