They had a great price!

I dropped off the CPU at his business and explained the computer was crashing every few hours plus running slowly. He diagnosed the problem as a virus and told me to pick it up in 3 days. He cleaned up the virus and installed a program to prevent further attacks. In order to do this he had to add some memory for which there was no charge because he happened to have some extra memory from another computer he was upgrading. While he was cleaning up the virus he cleaned up my desk top where a lot of extra programs had appeared that I never used. (He checked the directories to see if I used them before deleting them.) This is a garage operation but they know their stuff. My son has used them extensively and been very happy with their work.

I called an in-house service and they hummed and hawed and said they thought it was the hard drive. Their quote was quite ambiguous/expensive and they wanted to take it back to their shop. My son referred me to Cyra who works out of his garage in Davis. Over the phone he said it sounded like a software issue and since I was coming to Davis anyway, why not let him take a look at it. 24 hours later it works like a dream and is twice as fast. Couldn't be more pleased.
