PG&E had delayed the project until rain was a real concern. The work needed to be coordinated with PG&E so that the trench was open for as short a time as possible during clear weather. A major rain would have flooded the trench and collapsed the road. GSG was very responsive to my concerns and had everything ready for PG&E to complete their work as quickly as possible. As soon as PG&E was finished, GSG completed their conduit and backfill within a day. GSG completed the asphalt patching and had the road back to normal before the rains hit. Overall the project went smoothly with minimal traffic interruption to my neighbors.
Description of Work: I contracted with GSG Excavating to provide trenching, conduit, and service boxes needed to underground utilities to my home. The project included 170' of trench and conduit and a large street opening where PG&E needed to intercept existing facilities. The trench was down the middle of a private one lane road and it needed to be covered with steel plates for traffic to pass.
