When we purchased our home, the sellers had put in new carpet throughout the house.  As time would show, however, they had clearly gotten the Home Depot special, because less than three years later, multiple large ridges had developed throughout the house.  I thought we would have to get new carpet, but then I learned about carpet restretching.  Gary saved us!  I cannot stress what a delight it was to work with him - scheduling an evaluation and then the actual repair was straight forward and easy, he was punctual both times, very personable without wasting time.  He estimated it would take 2.5 - 3.5 hours for the job, and finished in exactly 3.  Our house is transformed; no longer do we have the veritable carpet Himalayas in our entryway as an unsightly trip hazard.  I recommend him whole heartedly and am so happy I found him through Angie's List in the first place.

Submitted a question on Angie's List about whether Gary did free quotes and whether furniture needed to be moved around for carpet re-stretching.  Received a call very quickly from Marsha, his wife - she was lovely and said that Gary could be out for a free estimate that week.  Gary arrived right on time, gave us our quote and said that he had time to fix our issue before going to his next customer which was very convenient for us.  I can't believe how great the carpet looks - brand new and no sign of the previous speed bumps.  Gary was super friendly and worked very hard.  I feel very fortunate to have found someone that knows their stuff and will be using him in the future should any other carpet issues come up as well as telling my friends and family about him.  Good workers are hard to come by these days - you will not be disappointed by the customer service you get here.

We had a gap between our carpet and tile in the entry. Gary was able to fix it. He took the time to explain the problem and what he was doing. I would highly recommend him.

Gary was prompted did more than I had expected. I was interested in learning how carpet gets installed and he let me watch and explained what he was doing as we went along. He was quick and did a wonderful job.

Gary arrived on time, figured out the best approach to the "stretch" that would take the least amount of time, and completed the job.

I couldn't be more pleased with his work. Gary did a fabulous job fixing my daughter's carpet at a very reasonable rate. In addition to being a very nice guy, he was professional, honest, and clearly an expert in carpet repair services. You will not regret hiring him if you need his services.

We couldn't be happier with Gary's work. We had hired someone else to take carpet off a staircase and replaced it with hardwood treads and a new railing, which left us with new wood at the top of the stairs and at the base of the new railing on the upper landing, and existing carpet on the rest of the upper floor that needed to be cut and fitted in around the new wood, including one complicated corner. I called a couple of carpet retailers, but their minimum installer charges started around $175, and so I decided to look further through the List to find someone who just did repairs, if possible, because that's all we needed, and lo and behold on the second page there he was.
Gary came out the very next day, cut the carpet to fit beautifully, re-stretched it in numerous places to remove all the bubbles, tacked it down, and installed a shim to raise the level of the carpet where it met the wood at the top of the stairs so there is a smooth transition. After he was done with the major work he spent a lot of time tucking in or cutting off loose threads and generally making it look as neat as possible. He's a delightful guy who really knows what he's doing. His minimum charge is $100, which gets you an hour of his time. I'd recommend him enthusiastically for anyone who needs work like this done.

He did this all at a reasonable price. I have had this type of work done before in the past, and it was a nightmare, so to deal with Gary was great. He did an exceptional job. When talking with him, he knew what he was doing and he was done very fast. You couldn't see where the seams were, I was flabbergasted.
