I high recommend Danville Hardwood Co. They met every expectation we had. The crew was punctual and always cheerful. They finished our downstairs floor and stairs in only one and a half weeks but without compromising quality. We love the finished product! One of the rooms we installed the hardwood floors in is now my dance studio allowing me to choreograph and rehearse from home before going on solo tours. The floor can be hard and cold in the non-summer months so if looking to install floors for a yoga or dance studio, I suggest raising the floor. We are on a concrete slab. I give Danville Hardwood Co. a 10/10 both for craftsmanship and customer care!

Great experience! Not the cheapest bid, but the results are exactly what we were looking for. Other bids were a bit of apples to oranges, didn't include moving furniture, this one did. Five years of dog scratches (on soft hardwood) repaired in four days without ruining the colors or character of the floor. Plus a super hard sealer to help keep damage to a minimum in the years to come. Great, professional, customer service throughout from all employees.

The crew arrived on time and project was completed as promised.  Their bid was $8,000 lower than a competitor who did not include the baseboards.  The floors look absolutely beautiful and I couldn't have been more pleased with their performance.

After buying an old house with great hardwood floors downstairs and hardwood in need of refinishing upstairs I selected Danville Hardwood - due to Diamond Certification and Angie's List.  It turns out they were the people that had finished the downstairs floors for the prior owners!  I had a full sand and three-coat refinish on the whole upstairs.  The workers arrived when scheduled, worked steadily and were friendly.  They took care to set up dust barriers, worked on the edges and corners - and even got out a large stained area where a bed had been for decades.  I have refinished floors myself in the past, and appreciated the work they did.  The lead worker had learned hardwood floors from his father and seems to enjoy his work.
The job took 4 days (time for finish to dry).

I contacted several providers for a quote to remove carpet and install a hardwood floor in a bedroom and connecting hallway, and refinish the kitchen hardwood floor.
The person from Danville Hardwood Floor inspired the most confidence both in service and in knowledge and skill level, though the price was not the lowest. There were other quotes lower but I had little faith in the skill level and/or quality.
The work was done promptly. There was an issue with a large spot on the finished floor that required that it be resanded and refinished. This cost us time, but no money. In the kitchen, an additional hardwood register was added without cost.
I would use the provider again.

They were on time every day for this 5-day project, worked all day every day, were courteous and polite.  They did the project in 5 days which was on the lower end of the time they had projected it would take.  Their price was $8,000 less than the competing bid I received, but the great reviews they received on Angie's List convinced me to go with them (and the price didn't hurt either!).  The floors look absolutely beautiful.  I would recommend this company without reservation.

They took out the old metal floor vents and put in hardwood floor vents that look beautiful and are flush with the floor so make it much easier to push in a desk chair where there's a floor vent. I didn't even know I wanted those until they were in! They did a beautiful job. The floor in the kitchen/family room looks better than it did when it was new. The master bedroom floor is beautiful as well. I would definitely hire them again.

Dan, the owner, was easy to work with. We got a clear description of how to prepare and what to expect during installation. Workmanship was excellent. Meticulous installer. Floor turned out beautifully.

Overall experience was good. The wood came in when they said it would. I do have one small complaint. They sold me too much material. I ended up with a box and half of wood. I already installed wood throughout the house so I don't need anymore than half a box for repairs.

My living room hardwood floor needed help after 14 years and 7 dogs...
Dan came out and gave me a fair estimate and I scheduled the work.
His two guys came out and did a great job: gently moving furniture (one VERY HEAVY piece) and prepping the site.
They sanded like pros; suggested a reasonable upgrade that I bought (two wooden vent covers); and completed the work on schedule.
I would gladly hire this company again. A pleasure to do business with throughout the process.

Danville Hardwood Co. charged me slightly under market rate. They charge per square foot. They are very knowledgeable and they were timely. They were good. They are a family run business in Danville, so I like them. They are very, very knowledgeable on different types of floors, flooring, and wood products that are available.

They are not quite finished. I am not happy with the stairs. They started on June 4 and they finished close to the 8th. There was a problem with them putting the planks back on the staircase. They were put in crooked. I had to call the manager from the hardware to come out. He took a look and said it wasn’t right, so he called a specialist who came out and said part of the flooring needed to be removed so he could put the planks in. I had to order the wood again which took a couple weeks. That was replaced on Friday and I’m not pleased with it. I’m trying to schedule them to come back out and take a look. They didn’t tell me they were going to use one of my empty bedrooms to do their sawing. When I came home, there was sawdust all over the room and I had not removed the clothes from the closet. I haven’t even told that to the manager. I’m just trying to get this done. The wood is beautiful, it’s a great job. It’s the small details that are frustrating.
