Honesty, my husband and I were hesitiant to go with Mike as his quote was the lowest one we received. We like to go with the middle, but Mike quoted us a well known good brand and gave us suggestions for windows we had not thought of (picture windows, etc). He explained his price was lower because he did not have a showroom or large staff. Mike worked with us and his sub contractor to put in a large number of windows and 2 new construction french doors. We had trouble with the doors coming to us incorrectly (opening on the wrong side). He took care of working with Simonton to get the doors correct. His sub contract company was polite and worked to get our windows in correctly. They even worked a couple of weeks on Fri/Sat/Sun to accomodate our schedule for being home when they were doing the work. We were worried that we would be put in the middle of a vendor battle when the doors were incorrect. However, we didn't have a problem. We did have to wait for the new doors to be made, but that is the best you can hope for. Mike stopped by periodically to make sure things were going well. We had a few issues with the doors (broken glass due to a rock thrown by the gardener, and handle breaking). Mike called Simonton for us and opened the tickets with no problems. He was easy enough to get in touch with. Overall, working with Mike was good and we are happy with the suggestions for picture windows as well. One note: Mike is not as good at responding via email. Calling him seems to be his preferred mode of communication.
