They did a good job. He fixed the parts inside, so it works fine now. However, the price was a little high.

Excellent plumber!! Good price, honest, and quality work. He had over 30 years of experience and came from a family of plumbers. Reception was nice and he came out same day. What else can you ask for?

I called PHD on Tuesday morning to see if Tim, the company's south Orange County plumber, would be available to come fix the toilet. The phone receptionist said he might be able to come by at the end of the day. He actually showed up shortly after I called, but I was on my way out. He did not come later that day, so I called to re-schedule him for Thursday. Thursday he arrived on time with a helper. I had used PHD/Tim just a few weeks beforehand to install a new water heater. The price was much better than the 2 other quotes I had received and we were pleased with the installation.
This time, Tim and his helper very quickly fixed the 2 toilets and replaced the sink stopper (which I had not mentioned on the phone). He also addressed a slight gas leak I had noticed that was related to the water heater installation. He was very friendly and personable with both us and our pets.

Tim was very responsive and gave us a very competitive quote for the work. He did the job the same day. No complaints.

We called PHD plumbing based on previous positive experience. Noticed a apparent slab leak. He re-juggled his schedule around in order to come out ASAP. The investigation of where the leak was was done in a very logical manner while doing the least possible amount of opening up walls. It was determined due to the odd way the house is plumbed that the leaking pipe in the slab could be bypassed. Opened up two walls, investigated, and made the bypass.

Words cannot describe what terrific work was done on this job. The two main plumbers on the job were Don and Bill Hoover. They were extremely professional and personable. Clean up was spectacular. Even my dogs liked them.
Everything started great from the first day. When I got home and found they had repaired my side gate which wouldn't open because the walkway had buckled from tree roots. They could still get in the backyard from the back gate but it was more convenient to use the side, so they fixed the gate-no extra charge. Another extra was caulking the bath tub and sinks. They also didn't charge extra when it was discovered they had to re-route the main water line because my front porch was a four-foot thick slab of concrete.
The pricing was more than competitive. I had gotten other quotes that ran from $20,000 to $30,000. PHD's first estimate was around $18,000. I called them back and explained that I was really strapped for cash so Don came back out and was able to re-work the estimate down to $13,500. The new estimate also included extras beyond re-piping. I got two new toilets, a new faucet and p-trap in one bathroom and repairs to other leaky faucets. They also brought my water heater up to current safety codes.
As part of the job they had to cut two large holes in my kitchen ceiling to reach the pipes between floors. The other companies said they would have to do that also but I would be responsible for the repairs from someone else. PHD included that repair in the price.
All in all in was a good experience, a great job and really nice people. I now have water flow and pressure I never dreamed possible.

When I called Tim, I asked him how much it would roughly cost to replace a simple garbage disposal. I thought I had heard $35.00. Since I had spent $50.00 to replace one 3 months ago on another home, I thought 35 sounded good. I had them go to my house when I wasn't there.
My wife let them in to do the work. I called my wife after they left and asked her how much she paid them. She said that the guy wanted $90.00 for labor charges + $50.00 for a service charge. I was very upset about this.
I called Tim back and explained to him what happen. His response was, I wouldn't have even got my car for $35.00. He said that he had quoted me $135, not $35 over the phone. He said that since the bill came out to $140, he was right spot on.
I normally don't leave reviews, but since I just signed up with Angie's list and am paying for this service, I thought I'd voice my opinion about how I will never use this company again. A complete rip off! $140.00 to change a simple disposal, really?

I highly recommend PHD Plumbing for any plumbing jobs. They were professional, on time, reasonably priced, friendly, knowledgable and just overall excellent in service. I am so happy to have found a reliable plumber who I know will get the job done correctly without playing games with pricing. I just can't say enough about my experience. This was a long, difficult job that took the entire day. He never took a break and worked until the job was complete. The technician also went over the hourly rate before starting the job and explained his plan of attack on fixing our problem. Very good communication.

I was leaving town the next morning and wanted to get the problem taken care of before I left. He came out at 7pm at night and worked on it until about 10pm. Really a tough job. Did a great job and a very nice person too.

Tim is awesome! His price was completely fair and his work was exceptional. He was punctual, courteous and fair, qualities which are not always so easy to find in a plumber. After he finished the job he placed a follow up call. When I told him that the flame from the gas bbq was still a little weak, he came out that day which was Memorial day, and made the adjustments. The steaks made it to the grill and the bbq was a success. You would be crazy to use anyone else.

I had previously purchased a faucet with a spray hose attachment and needed it installed. I have used this company many times previously and they did their usual great work. I had scheduled the work about a week before and they showed up right on time.

I called in a panic because my upstairs toilet was overflowing and was dripping downstairs in the kitchen through the overhead light fixture. The gal on the phone told me how to turn off the water to the toilet then scheduled to get someone out as soon as possible. Since the water was off, I said I had to get to work and asked if they would call me at work when the plumber was ready to work on my problem. She took my work number since I work about three miles from my house. Within 90 minutes they plumber called and I met him at the house. He fixed the problem quickly and discovered that the tank cover was hanging up the trip lever so the flapper inside would not close which is why the water kept flowing out of the bowl. I've used these folks before and have always been pleased with their service.
