I realize this sounds more like an advertisement. I have no affiliation with Walt, except as a client. He is the best. I always contact Walt first. He is a man of his word.
On several occasions, Walt has told me that rather than waste the money to keep repairing an appliance, I should have it replaced, 
and suggest where to go to get the best prices for a replacement. I only wish I could get him to take care of the properties in Marin!

Walt is the model of professionalism; he returns calls, shows up exactly as promised, and really knows his stuff. When my washing machine broke, he asked me to describe the symptoms over the phone, asked a few more questions, and informed that--based on my description-- he knew what the problem was. He ordered the broken part (turned out it was a relatively cheap component), showed up with it, and had the machine working within 20 minutes. The whole call cost something like $75 total--surprisingly cheap. On the most recent call to fix my Blue Star range, he had me order the ignitors online before he came. He showed up, replaced them in half an hour, charged me $50 and left. This guy is a gem--fair, knowledgeable and responsive.
