Larry seemed to have installed the new sink plumbing at the time he finished as it appeared to working correctly. He said he had to build a custom "P" trap for the sink because it was a deeper sink then the one there before. I thought it had been done to the professional standards he was supposedly capable of until I found the floor of my new cabinets warped by leaking water!
I called a CERTIFIED plumber who is going to charge $600 to fix the "custom P" trap on the garbage disposal. Larry has it draining uphill which will cause frequent blockages! Larry also incorrectly installed the strainer flange on the other side of the sink, putting the cardboard gasket before the rubber gasket. This allows water to seep out when the sink is drained. It then drips down to the cabinet floor, which is now ruined. If there was some legal recourse against him I would be pursuing it. Be forewarned: if you decide to use his this service be prepared for problems down the road.
Used Larry several months ago and he was on time and did a great job. Called 2 weeks ago and needed a flag pole light and new shower head and the other accessories for the bathtub. Also some new hinges. He came right away. Put up the flag pole light and the shower head. I had purchased the wrong water spout so he told me where to go to get a new one. He didn't have the right tools to install the new hinges. Said he would come back on Sat. pm. At 5:00 I called and he said he would come on Sun. pm. No show on Sun and didn.t answer phone. Called on Mon. am. We arranged for him to come Tues. 15th because I was going out of town., I called on Tues. to see what time to expect him. No answer. Called later in the day and no answer. It is now the 17th and I just called and again no answer. Guess I will find someone else.
I am so happy with the work that Larry and his brother-in-law performed on our home. They gave me an estimate and I compared it with five other handyman services. Although Larry wasn't the cheapest I asked him to rewrite the quote to remove a couple of the items that weren't necessary to have completed right away (I'm having the house painted and needed the carpentry work done first) and Larry was excellent about sending me a revised quote and asked if there was a certain budget I was trying to stay within. Once we agreed on the work to be performed he arrived on time and, better yet, finished on time. The work areas were cleaned up and the old material was hauled away. I have other friends who have been looking for a reliable and affordable handyman and I will be giving them Larry's information with a glowing review! Thank you Larry for being one of the few reliable handymen out there!
UPDATED: We replaced the wood along the top of our outdoor balcony and had it painted. Within six months of installation we had the exact same problem with the two 45 degree miters coming apart and needing repair. It was exactly why we had replaced the balcony trim in the first place. I contacted Larry and he promptly came out to see the balcony. His solution was to fill the joints with Bondo and paint over them which is what we were doing before we had it replaced. This is not a desirable long term solution.
I now will be hiring a finished carpenter to come look at the balcony to offer a better long term solution. I'm not sure where the liability lies with this situation, should Larry have known the previous balcony wood application would present the same problem and offer other solutions or should I have realized I needed someone more experienced than a handyman to help resolve the issue?
I'm disappointed with the balcony.

Neighbor uses them to do repairs on rental housing. Good people to deal with.
