BEST CARPET CARE

Not good.  Technician was unwilling to listen or compromise.

It was a pretty bad experience from start to finish. Earlier they had given us an estimate of $109 for carpet cleaning. However, on arrival he said the estimate was only for steam cleaning and did not include shampooing. But since this was a move out cleaning we had no choice but to pay $225 he asked for shampoo cleaning. He finished the whole thing in 15 mins and claimed that some of the stains cannot be removed. He refused to accept cheque (only cash) and he rudely reminded us to get cash from the bank even when the work was still in progress.

We needed our carpets and furniture cleaned to prepare the house to put it up for sale. Came across this company through one of the monthly coupon mailers, and hired them because of what appeared to be a great deal for cleaning our carpets. From the moment the guy in charge came through the door, he was pressuring me to spend more, telling me everything needed specialized cleaning, or it wouldn't work (it didn't take long to figure out this is their scheme: Advertise low prices, then tell people they needed to spend 2 - 3x as much for the "deep" cleaning, or it wouldn't do any good). I finally agreed to the extra cost for the bedrooms, since two of them were in fairly bad shape, but I told him we'd probably be replacing the couch set soon, so that it wouldn't be necessary for the deep-cleaning for it (he responded by saying, "but this is a nice couch, if you clean it, you can keep it for a long time"... even though the couch frame was broken, the cushions had bleach stains, etc. Obviously it was all about pushing the sale). I had originally wanted them to clean our dining room set cushions as well, but quickly changed my mind when I realized how much he wanted to charge. He pushed me on this one for some time, as well. The hardwood floors between the bedrooms (in the hall-way) and in the living room (where the couch and chair were located) were original to the home, built in the 50s, so I mentioned this concern when I realized they were leaving puddles of water and cleaning solution outside each bedroom door, and under the furniture they were cleaning. At first he assured me they would take care of it. Then when they were getting ready to leave, I mentioned it again, and that these were original floors. His response? "These floors are not nice. I clean carpets and furniture in million-dollar homes, with floors much nicer than these". Excuse me??? What does *that* have to do with me not wanting these floor ruined?!!! They left huge puddles everywhere, which I had to go around and mop up myself, after they left. One of the most horrible home service experiences I've ever had. I would highly recommend *against* anyone hiring this company, unless they enjoy high-pressure to pay more than what is advertised, carelessness for their belongings, and complete rudeness to boot!

Mory and assistant appeared on time, looked at the area and gave me a quote immediately. It was more than expected (I had an ad coupon for the steam cleaning, but the deep cleaning added a lot), but I decided to do it anyway as my carpets hadn't been cleaned for a few years. They did exactly what they described and helped me move some of the furniture, left everything in good order and were respectful.

THEY BURNED AN ARM ON ONE OF OUR COUCHES. DID NOT POINT IT OUT TO US AND WHEN WE NOTICED IT RIGHT AFTER THEY HAD LEFT, THEY DENIED ANY RESPONSIBILITY.
