Haven't confirmed the fix was good, but he sounded very confident, so if the fridge works tomorrow I'll be happy: very fast response, professional, and friendly.

The gentleman who used to come was courteous, always on time, and had done his job in a timely manner. Appliance Express Repair has always been able to get back to us immediately, and have seemed to be really on top of their game. We?re happy with their service.

After fixing the problem he showed me what was obstructing the motor. It was a nail which caused the motor to not run properly. Trying to set up a time was a little bit of a problem because of my busy schedule and his conflicts but once we smoothed that over he was here at the specified time. He then completed the job in an effective, efficient manner.

So I called back and told them that the fridge was broken again. He told me that it was probably the thermostat and he would order it. He could have it by Friday, and would be by then. I had to call about 3-4 times on Friday to make sure that he had it, and would be coming by. He finally returned my call after 2 pm and said that he would be by in about 1/2 hour. He came back and spent about 40 minutes working on the fridge, but finally told me that the part wouldn't fit. He would order another and it would be in on Monday. So Monday comes and again, I have to call him 3-4 times, only to finally get a return call after 2 pm. Now he says ''Bad news, your fridge is too old and we can't find the part.'' So AHS calls around and finds the part back East and orders it. I tell them to shove it, that I'm not going through this anymore. I insist on a credit towards the purchase of a new fridge and got a $200 credit towards a new GE.

These guys came to fix my dryer and my microwave. It was paid for by my Homeowner's insurance (American Home Shield) - that's why it was only $45 out of pocket. My microwave repair took about 2 months with 3 separate visits before it worked again. It was a power supply issue. But on one visit, the tech told me the third party parts he had ordered were not good enough and needed Panasonic (brand of my microwave) parts instead. My dryer is now waiting for the third visit. They usually don't call me back until I leave five messages (I can never reach a live person whether early or late). In this case, they fix the dryer (not heating), but the problem reappears within 3 days. As for punctuality, once they give a 4 hour window yet still managed to miss it by 4 hours. I guess you've got to give them credit for showing up on the same day.
