US Search LLC

The US Search company provided a service and then signed me up for a subscription I never agreed to. They charged me $19.95 for the service. This company has many consumer complaints. See: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/us_search.html. I called the company and they sent me an e-mail that the subscription I never agreed to was now cancelled. They agreed to reimburse me one month. I called my credit card company and filled for reimburse me for the other charges and the company agreed. I have not seen the credits on my statement yet. They charged me automatically for 5 months rather than the one time fee I requested. They are not willing to give me my money back.

This company was advertiesed as a professional service with both CBS and 60 minute recommendations. I purchased a background check for a potential employee. There was no option for specific details, so I entered the name. The report that I received was for a person with the right name, but the wrong age and as a result the report was completely useless. The company did not provide a corrected report for the right person, nor did they apply a refund. Also, at the time of purchase an ongoing account for an additional 19.95 per month as added to my bill (even thought it did not show up on my purchase at the time of my order). I called immediately when I receiced the online confirmation with the added charges. The added 19.95 charge was removed, but the orignial purchase of $34.90 was not refunded for the wrong report provided. The serviced that I received was appauling, sloppy from start to finish and unethical.The Better Business Bureau was unable to help as well. Also, after my complaint to BBB and US search, US search added a search report on google under my name which was not there previously. Buyer Beware, I believe this is company is no what is advertised and I would not recommend them to anyone.
