MIKE DIAMOND PLUMBING

I wish I had come here and checked the reviews before hiring them. They came for a simple check on a newly installed vanity, and the plumber said there was no problem! Then, when I asked him to renew the working under sink valve, he said you need to change both of them and then charged me $700! He said multiple times that it is just a home and we are a big company ! It happens when you hire someone based on radio advertisements, then in the invoice, he wrote 350 for fixing a vanity! He wrote that a handyman installed the vanity while I hired a licensed plumber from Home Depot, People listen to reviews and do not hire them and don't get stuck as I did.

They overcharge for everything. It only took them 10 minutes.

Mike diamond uses local contracted plumbing companies in a given area so the company that was dispatched and did the damage was George Brazil plumbing. the service person was called for the "$99 advertised drain clearing" he proceeded to use the wrong size snake and destroyed the drain pipe inside the wall, because the snake became lodged inside the pipe and he had to hammer the snake cable to release it. I was told no charge for the service call because they could not clear the "slow drain" reported originally. He then gave me a written estimate for $1600 to fix the problem he had just created. Then the service tech left and I discovered the sink was completely stopped up with standing water. I called them back and they sent the same tech who took the trap loose and drained the water, then told me they could fix the problem for an estimated $1600 . .  I said I would call another plumber because their supervisor was rude and argumentative with me about the work they attempted and the damage they caused and refused to accept responsibility for. I contacted a local plumber in my neighborhood and after I told them what brazil's plumber said the local tech said his company would do the job for $850 ! ! so I had them do the work which required breaking open the drywall, removing the toilet and replacing a 4ft section of pipe, plus connectors and misc hardware, repairing the drywall and paint, reinstalling the toilet and cleanup of the bathroom. Brazil was the worst experience with a company ever ! ! ! ! ! they refused to take any responsibility for their mistake or compensate for. I WOULD NEVER CALL MIKE DIAMOND AGAIN. I contacted Mike Diamond via their customer contact web site and they did not respond to me rather they had the supervisor at Brazil contact me to "get the tech back to fix the problem" when they came back they told me the same thing, $1600 to fix their mistake.  

Mike Diamond should be cautious about hanging his reputation on inferior workmanship and lack of customer service exhibited by contracted companies.

They were on time. They were extremely professional. They provided diagrams and explained what was going on. They went under the house and took pictures of all major issues and leaks. They examined the in house situation and explained every aspects of the estimate. They worked quickly and quietly. The following date, brought in 4 guys and the worked earlier and stayed late, limited breaks. Very professional, courteous and polite. They came back after the weekend to finish. They made sure the kitchen and laundry were done first for my holiday baking. They responded immediately when we called about an issue with the fridge. During excavation, they brought up a lot of dirt and showed us the damage to the pipe work that was replaced. I cant say enough good things about the company. They were able to completed the entire project for this major work in 4 days. They are expensive, but you pay for what you get and I had a great experience with MIKE DIAMOND PLUMBING

I called them out to unclog a laundry room drain.  They said I needed to have them power wash the drain out to the main line.  It was filled with black sludge.  He did the work really fast and Ive had no more problems.  The cap on the wash out thing was dripping after he felt so he came back out and replaced it. 

Pilot light would not stay on. No estimate possible until water heater inspected. Stayed home from work. Technician arrived on time, polite efficient. Diagnosed thermocouple defective Job completed in 10 minutes. Given bill for $480. Told it was a fixed rate for the job. I found on web part costs $10-30; maximum time even for travel time and 1 hour minimum = ~$200 I had no choice, signed contract. Technician said I could speak to his supervisor, Carlos. I called while he was working. Carlos was very rude, said that if I didn't like the price I don't have to have the work done. I responded calmly and politely that the work was already underway, but I just wished to let the company know that this was gross overcharging. Carlos became belligerent; to paraphrase- "Because you are unhappy with the job I am going to phone the technician to stop work and leave". This would leave me having to find another contractor for a partly completed job. I said that I have already signed the contract and that he must stick to it. When I returned, the job was already over (10 minutes). I later found out the name of the manager, Jerry Gordon and wished to let him know of my opinion of the price and of Carlos' rudeness. I received the runaround. After providing details of the service call I was transferred to multiple people before being told that they would not let me speak to Jerry Gordon. I told them that I would instead contact Angie's list, which I then joined and have written this report. BEWARE of this company

They came out and fixed a problem but they didn't fix THE problem. They then charged us 2000 dollars. They took about four hours and then they only gave us a discount for the next time we use them.

While trying to sell our house, our drains backed up. Mike Diamond advertises extensively in Culver City, and I see their vans with his smiling face everywhere. I phoned, and someone came out fairly promptly. But the plumber claimed that he couldn't clear out the drain unless and until he installed a new clean out access pipe. He estimated a cost of $3000. I thought that was too high, but my wife was in a panic since we were supposed to have an open house the following weekend. I naively agreed to let them do the work. The job was completed in about 2 hours. Yes, the drains now flowed, but I am certain the plumber was laughing all the way to the bank. I believe he saw our For Sale sign in the front yard, recognized an opportunity, and decided to gouge us. I will not use this company ever again.
