They did a great job. The whole project was completed on time with no problems. The owner worked with me and the price was very reasonable.

Very pleased. JC was honest in what was needed and conservative in how to remove/replace. Another contractor wanted to charge me to completely remove all layers, etc. JC showed me that the roof only had 1 layer and there was not need to completely remove what was there. He also recommended to install a gutter, which was missing unknown to me. JC saved me more than $6,000!

Excellent. Mr. Estrada and his team are a good example of how the roof contracting business should be run. All of my expectations were met from the estimate process completely through the roof replacement. One of our tenants has a small daughter and his crew was also very tidy in policing the area each day to ensure no hazards were left laying around. I am happy to recommend Mr. Estrada for any job.

Juan Estrada's workers were polite, punctual, and very hard workers. Mr. Estrada was very easy to work and communicate with. He took care of any concerns we had. He did all the work and some extra we added after the initial bid without increasing the price. We highly recommend his company.

Juan was punctual and through with his estimate, which included services I had not anticipated.  The crew were on time, professional with their work, cleaned up, and completed in the estimated time.  I am very pleased with our new roofs, and  would recommend him to anyone needing roofing work!

Called Juan to get a quote for a new roof. House has a flat roof. Juan came out as scheduled and provided a price that I thought reasonable. He put the job in his queue. And as promised the job took three days total - Demo to installation to final inspection by city inspectors.  I would recommend Juan.

I left a message for Juan, and he called me back within a day.  We made an appointment for an estimate to do some repairs.  He arrived on time and had the estimate ready quickly.  The estimate was $800 to do some miscellaneous repairs (loose edges, downspout, fascia, removing an old satellite dish) and an additional $1800 to re-roof the garage.  I told Juan I would like to think about it for a day or so and then decide what to do.
The next day, I called Juan to schedule the repair only, and that I would have to wait a few months to do the garage.  He was fine with that, and we scheduled the repair for a few days later.  Juan then called me the day before to remind me of the time.
On the day of the repair, Juan and his men arrived right on time.  They got to work and were finished in about four hours, a little ahead of schedule.  They were extremely courteous and professional, and even cleaned up the dust and debris left on my front porch.  The repairs look great; I would definitely recommend them and will call Juan again when I am ready to re-roof my garage.

Everything went really well.  They were very careful to clean up afterwards because that was a concern of mine but they did a good job.

We are not happy with the service we received. We will not be hiring J.C. Estrada in the future at this location, nor at our apartment building.
The day the work was done Mr. Estrada was not on site to supervise his workers. As they were cleaning  up I noticed an 8 foot section of flashing that seemed to be loose. I used my index finger to tug on it a bit, and the whole 8 foot section dropped off the roof. When one of the men went back up to the roof to fix this, I pointed out to him piece of flashing around an external pipe that seemed to be unfinished as well. The worker put a nail into it and waked away without covering it in any way. The repaired roof was never tested by the crew.
I called Mr. Estrada and asked him to come inspect the job which he did later that afternoon. After making sure the first flashing was secure, and putting some mastic on the nail that the worker had put in the second flashing, Mr. Estrada assured me several times that his men, "...have been doing this for 20 years and know what they are doing". He also assured me several times that the job was guaranteed for 10 years so if anything did go wrong he would fix it at no charge.
When the rain came in December the roof that had been 'repaired' leaked in 4 places. I called Mr. Estrada and left a message on voice mail about the leaks. He did not return my call. I emailed him several weeks later, in January when we got more rain, and he called, then agreed to meet me at the house to inspect the roof.
Mr. Estrada looked around in the house, then on the roof and now said that the leak was actually coming from a valley in the roof that was not on the section he repaired, also that there was a 'new' vent on the roof (trying to say that something had been installed in the roof after his company had done their job), and that he would need an additional $500 to do the job right.
Nobody else had been on that roof since he was up there, so no, nothing 'new' had been installed that was now leaking. I have images of his crew doing the work with the vent in question clearly in place. As to why I should put up more money to finish a job that had a "10 year guarantee" , he had no answer. When pressed, he said he would do the additional work for $475 but no lower. I said, "If I agree to that amount I expect you (Mr. Estrada) to be here to supervise the job being done". His response was, "I can't do business that way... you can't expect me to be on site for every job..... my men have over 20 years of experience and they know what they are doing."  But the roof still leaks.
When a roofer, or other contractor give you a 10 year guarantee, that means, to me, that I won't have to worry about that problem again for at least 10 years, or I expect that contractor to fix the problem at no extra cost. The roof still leaks. Mr. Estrada won't fix it unless I pay him more. His 10 year guarantee, is worthless.
Further, the fact that Mr. Estrada won't take steps to personally supervise a job gone wrong by a company with his name on it shows me that he does not really care about this job.... or maybe any other job.
The roof still leaks. We won't be calling him again, or recommend his roof work.

This is the second time I've used Juan in the 4 years we've owned the house.  We have a neighborhood raccoon which makes this necessary.  Juan is great, truly.  Very professional, very reasonable, great work.  I will continue to use him and his team.

Fine.  The crew was there everyday, promptly in the a.m., worked a full day, cleaned up daily as they left.  Crew was Hispanic but there were always at least 2 men fluent in English -- NO communications problem.  That is important.

Our Church had a leaking roof on the Fellowship Hall area. Quick to give us an estimate. Gave us a good (fair) price. Showed up when he said he would, did a quality job, cleaned up during and after the work. Work seems excellent.. Did such a good job we gave him another roof replacement job on a Church duplex.
At this point I would highly recommend this firm!

Juan Estrada and his workers are just great.  Everything went just like he assured us it would.  His crew hung plastic wall-to-wall in the ceilings of each of our rooms to catch the dirt and debris that fell through the joints in our tongue-and-groove wood ceiling.  There was a lot of it too.  They finished in three days (which he said they would).  The final thing was to apply the Cool Roof coating which seems to be some sort of vinyl.  It was white and looked like new-fallen snow.  After they left, I went up the ladder to look at it.  I touched my finger to it and it was still wet.  I climbed back down, went to bring in the trash cans, turned around, didn't see my husband, looked up on the roof, and he was UP THERE walking around on the wet roof.  I yelled (screamed, actually), "The roof's still wet!"  He looked back where he had trod and saw his footprints (again, the new-fallen snow analogy works).  He came down and the stuff was stuck all over his size 14's.  I made him go call Mr. Estrada and tell him what he'd done.  Mr. Estrada was so nice about it.  He said they would come back and re-apply the Cool Roof where John walked.  He even offered to give me money to have a cleaning lady come in as some of the debris fell from the edges of the plastic ceiling covers when they removed them.  I declined as he wasn't charging us more to re-do John's footprints!   I would definitely recommend J.C. Estrada Roofing.  They're excellent.

The actual reroofing job went well except for some black adhesive/tar substance that was smeared on the porch roof.
The replacement of ceiling joists caused some damage to the stucco and there was no procedures to patch the damage.  I requested that caulking be used to fill in the holes but the results were unsatisfactory.
The painting that was done left several drops of paint around the perimeter of the house.  When this was mentioned, I was told that they were not painters.  My clean-up resulted in several paving stones being discolored.
I noticed that the workers tapped into the power line on the roof.  I mentioned this to Mr. Estrada and was told that they should not be doing this.    I recently had some work done on this part of the power line and will probably have to call the electrical company to ensure that all is okay.
The final bill did not itemize the costs of replacing the rafter boards but ended up within $25 of the quoted price prior to the discount.

I called JC Estrada on a Friday to get a bid on replacing my entire roof.  My house is very small at 650 square feet, yet had many layers of roofing (4-5) and bids were coming in thousands of dollars higher than what I was looking to spend.  He offered to come out the next morning, Saturday.  He got up on the roof, took measurements, and went out to his truck to write up a detailed
estimate.  His was the 3rd I had gotten so I knew more or less what to look for.  It was all there, and for thousands less than other companies had estimated.  Since I am on summer vacation, I asked if he could start right away and he agreed.  Monday morning he was here right on time, and his guys got started immediately.  All week they were punctual and working hard the entire time they were at my house.  At the end of the day, the large piles of debris and dust were cleaned up and hauled away so it made the experience much more pleasant than it could have been.   I needed to coordinate the work with a plumbing job that could only be done with the roof off and he was very accommodating and helpful to the plumber when he arrived.   A small issue came up with the installation of my skylight during the reroofing which hadn?t been anticipated and he gave me a couple very fairly priced options to deal with it.  Once they started construction, I also decided that I wanted them to add a solar tube in my kitchen for more natural light and he offered me a fair price for that work as well.  I am THRILLED with the solar tube.  I walk in my kitchen every morning and I do not need to turn on the light as the room is filled with natural light.  Overall, I can say that he is a trustworthy, honest, and hard-working man with a great crew. I am so grateful to have found him on Angie?s List and will recommend him to anyone who needs roofing done at their house.    Thank you JC Estrada Roofing!  I love the updated look of my house and will feel very comfortable once the rainy season comes.
