The responsiveness was not great at first due to the fact -- as they later explained  and apologized for -- that because of the rain we'd had (remember that stuff?)  they needed to take care of their long-time customers first.   I appreciated this because I expect the same priority service from a company with which I've had a long-standing relationship.
Once they did show up, they did an amazing job, uncovering problems with the felt that was below the tile, which they replaced as well.  They didn't smash any of the ferns and orchids that surround those sides of the garage, and the roof looks lovely.  They inspected the rest of the roof and left me a few tiles to shuffle into place just in case I should need one. 

Hull Brothers was recommended to me by a friend.  I invited them out to give me an estimate for work that I needed done: (1) holes in the garage roof around a decorative cupola; (2) inspection of a flat portion of roof where we were about to have solar pool heating panels installed; (3) repair of a damaged skylight frame.  Initially, all three roofers I had out said that the flat roof where the solar panels were going needed to be replaced because the roofing materials had not been installed properly and they expected the roof to leak once the solar panels were mounted on it.  However, Chuck then took the initiative to call the solar people and find out exactly how they were going to attach the panels to the roof.  Having done that, he determined that in fact there was no danger of leaks, and the flat roof therefore did not need to be replaced.  That obviously saved me quite a bit of money, and made Hull Brothers' bid much cheaper than the others I received.  The work was scheduled promptly, and Chuck and his men removed the decorative cupola on the garage (we didn't like the look of it anyway), replaced the roof underneath it as well as a neighboring valley that would have started leaking soon, fixed the skylight frame, and carefully checked all of the work by the solar guys and the rest of the roof.  And, they finished in less time than expected!  I was impressed that Chuck went out of his way to talk to the solar installer himself (which ended up reducing the scope and cost of his work), and that he was up on the roof helping his men with the demolition and repair work - most business owners I've seen aren't involved and getting their hands dirty to that extent.

They did a great job.  Showed up on time.  Competitive price (I checked against 2 other companies).  Installed a gutter and downspout I provided from Home Depot at no charge.  Good crew.

Got Hull Bros. referral from my next-door neighbor. I checked out the company on Angie's List and read the great reviews. Previous to Chuck from Hull Bros. coming out to my house, I had estimates from two other companies regarding my roof, both with good reviews on Angie's List. But I felt their estimates about the roofing work they deemed necessary to be done were excessive.
When Chuck came out to look over my roof and give me an estimate, everything he said about addressing my roof problems made perfect sense and sounded very reasonable. I decided to go with Chuck and Hull Brothers Roofing and I'm very glad I did.
I had a quick timeframe in which the repairs had to be done, and Chuck easily worked within the timeframe, from start to finish. He obtained the permit from the city and was ready to go. His workers showed up on time every single day they were on the job. All of them were very polite nice guys and they cleaned up before they left each day.
The city inspector came out twice as required and signed off each time with any issues whatsoever. The job couldn't have gone more smoothly and the cost was exactly what Chuck and I agreed upon beforehand. Chuck is extremely knowledgable and I have the utmost confidence in his company's work, which he stands behind with a guarantee.
I couldn't be happier with the work performed, the way it was performed and the professionalism of Chuck and Hull Brothers Roofing. I will definitely use them for any roofing issues going forward, and recommend Hull Brothers Roofing to anyone who wants a very experienced and ethical roofing company taking care of their roofing issues at a reasonable cost. Hull Brothers Roofing did an excellent job repairing my roof, fixing all of the fascia another roofer had put in wrong, and fixing the entry way into the attic. Overall they did an outstanding job. Some difficulty with them returning calls, but overall would use them again.

- There was a little miscommunication with scheduling, where I had to follow up.
- The actual work was completed in 3 days
- The crew came on time and cleaned up at the end of the day

Chuck Jewett was very knowledgeable and thorough in evaluating our warehouse roof. He found previous work that had been done improperly and made recommendations for correcting them. The coating of our roof was done as specified in a timely and neat manner. Bad weather delayed applying the second coat and touch-ups. I selected Hull Brothers as the high bidder because I felt they would do the best job. The only negative was the high cost of the job which ran over the original estimate. But all in all their work was good, I would use them again, and would recommend them to others.

They do excellent work.  The have been around a long time. They are good about looking you in the eye. I felt very comfortable that they knew what they were doing.

Great work, it took them a few days to schedule the job but I very happy with their attitude and professionalism.  I will definitely be calling them again

It went very well. The owner took the time to explain to me the differences in the bids I received which I verified with an outside source. Hull was not the lowest bidder but they were reasonable and did and excellent job.

I went thru 5 other roofing contractors till I had Chuck from Hull Brothers quote me a bid.  Chuck is great and knows what he is talking about.  He got on top of my roof and gave it a careful and thorough examination.  He took careful measurements, not just "eyeballing" it from the ground. Chuck pointed out defects I was not aware of and explained how they could be fixed.  He sounded the best and so I went with him.  I am glad I did!  Chuck and his crew went above and beyond in not only putting on a new roof but repairing facia and roofing boards that had termite and or dryrot.  They took great care on my detached garage too. Hull Brothers also installed new attic ventliation, flashing and step flashing around my skylights and chimney that I was concerned about.  The roofing crew led by Geno, showed up on time everyday and cleaned up after themsleves.  I wanted a profession job and that is what I got!  I highly recommend Hull Brothers for all your roofing needs.

My HOA reviewd Chuck for multiple projects and ultimately hired his company to re-roof a 5 unit condominium. 1. Professionalism - Chuck spent a great deal of time reviewing the property and educating the homeowners, answering many rounds of questions. He was always on time, and responds to calls & emails in a timely fashion. The crew was on time, handled the permits and inspections, and cleaned up fully upon departure.
2. Price - Hull Bros quote was fair and well informed. Other roofing bids ranged from $10K - $25k - it was crazy! Hull Bros. quote was in the middle of the pack at $16k. The higher priced contractors hung up on me when I asked why the quotes were so high and if they could re-assess the price. The HOA initially hired the contractor with the lowest bid, and that was a MISTAKE! The company did not realize that we had 3 layers of roof material on our 20 yr. old building and walked off the job. We called Hull Bros and they stepped right in, not deterred by the 3 layers because they did a proper inspection and asked all the right questions up front. The final price was $1k higher, but considering the building had a termite issue and yrs. of water issues, this was to be expected.
3. Quality of work - We are satisfied. One of the condo units experienced leaks and Hull Bros. quickly returned to diagnose and correct the problem. After years of leaks throughout our units we'll continue to monitor this new roof, but so far so good! And if there were to be an issue, I have confidence that Hull Bros. would take care of unforeseen issues.

Hull's Brothers Roofing is an outstanding company. Very prompt service. The most important thing is that they were able to diagnose the problems involved. The work was done very competently.

They were amazing.  He gave me the best bid, he did the best job and he had the best crew.  Everything was perfect.  They were on time, clean, and the staff was incredible; he really cares about his work and his clients.  His price gets an A+. I interviewed six roofers and got quotes from $14,000 to $22,000.  The other guys didn’t give me any confidence at all that they knew what they were doing; they were just salesman.  This company has been in business since 1928.   I would absolutely use them in the future.

I called to get several bids when a leak developed.  Their quote was lowest, and they were also friendly, responsive, and seemed very knowledgeable. They provided much information about the current state of the entire roof, and offered advice about future repairs and maintenance.  Once I accepted the bid, they called back promptly and scheduled a date within one week (and before the next rain!). They arrived on time, and fixed the roof promptly. Most importantly, the roof no longer leaks. 

they were also very flexible in working with the HOA, and seemed to be very experienced in dealing with the sorts of issues that come up when working with property that is partly community-owned and partly individually owned.

The work was very good; it went very well. They came promptly and did the work very nicely. They cleaned up well. I was quite satisfied. It is raining now, and I don't have any leaks, so I guess their work is good. Their price seemed fair. As far as I can tell, the quality of their work is excellent. Everything went very well, so I would rate them highly overall. I would use them again in the future.

Work was done quickly. Area was left spotless. Job was superior. Our family has used them for many jobs over the years. They know their stuff, are fair and honest.

Another company was recommended by them to install the gutters. When Hull Brothers called the next day to see how everything was going, I let them know that the gutter folks left some old gutters behind. There was other construction debris from other contractors, and had the gutter company put their trash with the rest I wouldn't have noticed it. I mentioned it to Hull Brothers, and later that day the gutter company guys stopped by and cleared their trash.
