A little back ground on myself.  I am a IT professional with hobbies in wood working and automotive restoration.  In other words, I am all about perfection.   Why is it so hard to get a job done right???  Just about every vendor I hire does not meet my expectations.  David Coleman is NOT such a vendor.   David is one of those rare vendors that gets the job done right and at a reasonable price.  I got two 10x28 foot structures built in my back yard by Tuffshed... you guest it, quality was WAY below what I was expecting.  But life goes on.  I asked David to give me a quote on wiring those two buildings up.   From our conversation, it was clear he knew what he was doing.  David's crew showed up early and got the job done in a timely manner.   They trenched, over 100 foot of underground conduit, two 60 amp sub panels, all the plugs, lights, etc...  Wires will be covered with insulation and drywall, but running wires like spaghetti and drilling holes willy nilly does not work for me.   David's crew's wiring work was clean, neat, and looked like a work of art.   Yes, it will be covered and no one will ever see it.  But I know. I always know, and I see everything.

This is my third time using Coleman Electric. Each time I have been impressed with the professionalism of the team that comes to the house. Typically it is one senior and one junior electrician. The first job they did with us, they came in sight unseen and did a beautiful job. I trust their competence and their presence in the home. I would call them first for any job.

I was thoroughly impressed with Dave Coleman's knowledge and expertise when he came to give me an estimate.  All his questions brought us to a real understanding of what I wanted/needed and how he would be able to complete the job.  On installation day, I was a little bemused that he came with his two workers, Robert and Chris, gave them instructions, and then left.  I need not have worried, as both men were as experienced and as thorough as Dave,.  They split up the work, while communicating constantly.  There was a lot of attic time, wall cutting, etc., and I just stayed out of their way because my kitchen is a small, galley-style space.  The job took about five hours, including a trip to Home Depot by Robert for the three-way switch and dry wall.  They finished the job beautifully, including cutting/taping/mudding a dry wall patch.  The under cabinet lighting bars have all the extra wires neatly twisted and secured out of sight.  Everything looks fabulous!  I love it every time I go into my kitchen.  Robert and Chris were personable, yet hard working and busy all the way through.  I had complete faith they are pros at this kind of work!  They also picked up and swept up all debris and dust, and took it to the trash bin on their way out. The only drawback was that I didn't realize the 1/2 hot outlet was wired full hot (?) until after they left, so called Coleman Electric right away.  Dave called back later that day and arranged for Robert to come out Monday morning to correct it.  It took Robert about 20 minutes to perfect the job.  An overall GREAT experience!

I was very impressed with their excellent service.  They were very professional and everything was done expertly.  He advised me on the things I need and took me through the steps of what he was going to do.  They didn't leave any sort of mess when they were done and checked it all when they were done and even followed up.

It went really well they came with a guy named Juan  & Pete and he was very efficient and the price was right. They were also kind and respectful.

They don’t linger and they clean up their mess.  The workers were punctual, polite and courteous.

The price was a little more than another estimate, but they were very professional and got the job done when they said.

Great work, good solution. They were on time, they follow up and made sure I was happy.

The crew was awesome! One of the guys remembered me since he worked on my mother-inlaws house. always polite and personable. I will for sure work with them again!

The crew arrived as promised and completed all the work which was discussed. We appreciated the professionalism and attention to safety. We will definitely use their services in the future.

It went great. The The panel upgrade wasn't easy since there are new regulations since the original was put in. There is also a tie in to a solar panel system on the roof. The new panel also had to be relocated to the side of the house. Dave's crew came up with creative solutions to some thorny issues regarding the new grounding regulations and relabeled all the new circuit breakers. They also came up with the most unobtrusive way to route the new 220 volt line which had to go to the far end of the house. The crew was easy to work with and cleaned up well after the work was done.
This was a permitted job and Dave was here for all inspections including a lengthy wait for the final inspection. I had a chance to talk with Dave and he's a really good guy. Concerned about the quality of his work and has a obviously good relationship with his workers who have been with him for many years. It felt like we were doing business with an old friend.
We strongly recommend Coleman Electric and would make them the first call for any future electrical issues.

The team turned up on time and were dedicated, professional and clean about there work. They finished everything in time for us to move into the home, and even took care of some problems that turned up during the process that were not on the original quote. This company are very reliable and do great work and a very fair price. I would recommend them to anyone.

Perfect.  As always, the guys were extremely conscientious about minimizing wall damage, which I really appreciate.  I expect holes and that there will be patching and painting to do after, and that is totally reasonable, but obviously the less damage the better.  Once again, on this job they did not disappoint.  They managed to stuff that new larger heater in there, and run a whole new wire from the circuit panel which is pretty far away and not easy to access, with only the tiniest bit of spackling for us to do only at the point of installation, nowhere else.   They also vacuum and take every last little scrap of garbage away, that you almost don't even know they were there.
Another thing I appreciate - their calm demeanor.  They work at a steady pace, without being frantic, or bringing outside problems to the job site.  These guys are not 'a bull in a china shop' kind of guys.  They are problem solvers, think things through, and have always managed to achieve everything we've asked for.
More importantly though, they don't cut corners on safety or code (I've asked a ton of questions and do a lot of my own research so I know this to be true).  I can always trust them, and trust is everything when looking for tradespeople, especially in a large city when there is often another job around the corner and accountability a rarity.

The came 8am sharp to install the wall outlets. They were professional and very personable. My gf's brother asked if they could install and ceiling vent in the bathroom and with a quick call to Dave (THANK YOU!!) we got a price and  got the job done.

It went absolutely great, Dave was always on-time and his crew were clean, capable and cheerful. He helped with some permit issues that came up afterward and really saved our bacon. You should be so lucky to have an electrician like Dave.

I hired Dave Coleman to rewire two different houses for me in the city of Pasadena. I would not use any other electrical contractor other than Dave. His work is outstanding; his guys are knowledgeable and friendly and he is always on time. The cost of the job is always what he estimates. If you want a good electrical contractor definitely call Dave Coleman Electric.
