Scheduling the visit was easy and he was prompt in keeping the appointment. He did a thorough inspection of the outside area, the detached garage. He was able to show me evidence of wood rot outside and in the garage. However, he said he would contact me to give me a price to repair the wood rot but its been more than a week later and I have not heard from him. He recommended tenting/fumigation and told me what I would have to do to prepare. However, price quoted was quite a bit higher than other companies I interviewed. Decided not to use this company since there has not been any follow up which I take as lack of interest in the job and I was not too excited about having to vacate my home for several days.

I was referred to this company many years ago by a real estate agent who used the company in her business. Very professional, punctual and friendly. Owner Dan Rutherford offered me annual home inspections, for $320/yr, which have included several treatments of at least one or more minor infestations each year for over five years now. If tenting were ever necessary, that too would be included in the same fixed price. The price was fine with me. I recommeded the company to a neighbor, who also now uses their services.

I detected dry rot and termite activity in certain areas of my home and patio cover. I had Mercury do some minor termite work in the past with good results and called them again. Mercury provided a thorough inspection and cost estimate. They showed me the infested areas and answered all my questions on the treatment and repair options. They performed all the treatment and repair work carefully and completely. They came when they said they would and gave the extra effort to make sure everything was done right. There were a couple of areas of additional work found after they started the job. They included some extra work in the original cost and the extra charge for the other extra work was very reasonable. I thought the cost was a little high in the beginning, but after seeing the quality of the work and how much work they did to fix the problems, I feel like I got excellent value. It has been a few months and there has been no signs of any termites or any other problems with the work. The Mercury people were all knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and very oriented towards customer satisfaction.
