My Mother had this service for the last 25 years; they even remodeled the pool 20 years ago. She died last year and I stopped by the shop to ask why the tile looked so bad. My thoughts were that with 20 + years of service why was the tile not clean... Luis the pool boy told me it was my Mom added too much water. The gruff old shop foreman told me he would tell Luis to clean the tile... 6 weeks later when only 2 feet of tile were cleaned and the days schedule was missed I stopped by the shop again and was told what do I expect from them "the Ozone it still causing the tile to be dirty" and they did not like my coming in after 25 years to complain what do I want a new pool.. NO I don't,  just simple courtesy and what we paid for.
After I terminated them they sent a bill for a week they did not work ...

I have used Johnny's for 5 years for repairs and spa/pool maintenance that I can't or don't want to do myself.  I have always found them to be fair, professional and competent.  I have only a few incidents where the repair or work was not done properly and they had to be called back or I had to fix it myself.  This last repair of the thermostat was done within 24 hours of the time I called.  Since I do my own general pool maintenance I always like to ask what went wrong and find out how the repair was made in case I can either avoid repair or do maintenance my to avoid future problems.  They have always been great at letting me know what happened.
Last year I tried to use a service person who was  recommended by one of my neighbors so I could support a local business.  However, for the chlorinator installation I needed, he ended up calling Johnny's anyway.
I would highly recommend this pool service.

The guy who came out was pleasant and responsive to a certain degree. He did find the leak and take care of that. I did have to finish some work for them. They switched the valve out, and I had to put the valve back in. They never came back to put the valve back together. I found it easier to do it myself rather than call them back out to do it; I wasn’t pleased with that. I am not sure if I would use them again in the future.

  I have been buying pool accessories etc. from this Co. since the mid 60's although I have never purchased pool motors or filters from them before as i had used other sources and did most of the work myself.
Three days ago my pool motor quit. I called them and they came out the next day and removed the motor for shop inspection and
possible repair. They contacted me the next day and advised that the motor had a short and needed to be replaced. i authorized the
repair and installation costs and they were out the next day and completed the installation. Their price was fair and they could have sold me a larger hp motor for more money but didn't try to take advantage. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the two
employees who handled the removal and installation. They give you a 3 hour service window and show up on time or call you if running a little late. I have read some reviews I found on Google and the main negative comments had to do with the owner who sometimes comes across as little grumpy until you get to know him but I've never had a problem and he can be very helpful! Yes, I would recommend this pool Co. for repairs or equipment replacement. I have always done my own pool maintenance so I can't comment on their regular weekly or monthly pool service. I don't think they would still be in business for over 60 years if they were 
not doing a good job!
