I contacted Mitchel Berman to design a custom living room bookcase with a cabinet that would match a kitchen he did some 20 years ago for my home. Mitchel came to my home, made measurements, gave suggestions, and then designed a beautiful bookcase and display cabinet that fits my space and incorporated all of the special features that I requested. The layout looks and works perfectly and lets me display artifacts and books in my living room. The work was done on schedule and within budget and everything fits perfectly and it just looks wonderful in my home. I would very highly suggest you contact him if you're looking for very high quality work. He has done my kitchen, home office and bathroom over the years. I'd doubt that you'll find better quality work anywhere. I'm very picky, and he's my man! He's easy to work with and has a gentle professionalism about himself too. Highly recommended.

MItchel is a master craftsman and thoroughly complete professional. He adhered to the architectural design while providing many practical and cost-saving enhancements. He has uncompromising quality standards in material selection and build-quality. He collaborated effectively with the master contractor during installation. As a professional, he is communicative, prompt, accurate, pleasant. He gets it right and never takes short cuts, no excuses for anything but outstanding from Mitchel. I now have absolutely stunning woodwork in my home coupled with memories of a smooth, successful and thoroughly enjoyable collaboration with a craftsman who is amongst a diminishing breed.

As always he was prompt, he did all the engineering and design work required, he coordinated the Cabinetry with the Audio Visual requirements and my AV team's requests. The work was done on schedule and within budget and everything fits perfectly and it just looks wonderful in my home. BEST: Mitchel is fun to work with !! Highly recommended.

The work was extremely high quality ~ perfectly matching existing cabinets (which were assembly-line style made in Canada.)  It was difficult to find a cabinet maker willing to take on a relatively small and somewhat difficult project.  Mitchel Berman was responsive and very professional and the quality of his work exceeded my expectations.  While the cost was high for such a small project, there is currently a very high demand for cabinet makers where we live ~ San Francisco is experiencing a building boom ~ and prices in San Francisco are typically very high.  We would definitely hire Mitchel again and recommend him to anyone looking for quality.
