Shane Fries Plumbing

This was a project in a very old kitchen, circa 1960's that had had no upgrades at all. I had some time limitations and was assisting a relative with this project. Shane made the arrangements much in advance for the only days I could assist with the work. I needed time between the removal of the sink and the installation, so I could access some crumbling drywall under the sink. Shane was more than accommodating. Not only did he allow the time I requested, he assisted with tools I didn't have. He used a powerful shop vac to remove lots of loose debris so I could seal and paint the needed areas. During the installation he managed to deal with very inadequate old plumbing and make the drains work without a major overhaul and added expense. He explained all our options thoroughly and made recommendations for the faucet we purchased. He had to do some cutting of the existing old countertop to make the new sink work, with some very limited margins. He saved us having to rip out old countertop to make a new sink work in the existing cabinetry. The end result was as near perfect as was possible for this old kitchen. Thru it all Shane was polite, patient and accommodating. Not only would I use him again, I would highly recommend him to anyone. He actually likes solving unique plumbing problems, but his skill would not be wasted on new construction as well as repairs on older buildings.
