"Hello [Member Name Removed], Thank you for your feedback. I'm disappointed to learn that you were not satisfied with the level of service Parzival Plumbing provided. I'm hoping to clarify a few things regarding our pricing. When your father called to book the appointment, he stated the issue was a shower stoppage. I explained it is quite difficult to diagnose a clogged drain over the phone and that the only quote I could provide would be our minimum service call fee which is $97. Upon arrival, our technicians were able to determine that the problem was not just a shower stoppage but that the issue was a mainline stoppage. Unfortunately, this meant that the technicians would need to return to our shop to pick up a mainline machine, thus resulting in a longer service call. I apologize for the miscommunication regarding pricing. As I stated above, we can only quote our minimum service call fee of $97 over the phone. It isn't until the technician arrives onsite that he will be able to diagnose the problem and determine a solution. We are a flat rate company; our price to clear a mainline stoppage is $210 at our standard rate. We applied a 10% first time customer discount to the total, bringing your total down to $189. When using the mainline machine to clear the line, the technicians did pull back roots. The additional products and services offered were to address the existing root problem. As we are aware that root growth in drain lines can be quite pricey, I followed up with a phone call to your father to inform him of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District's CCTV program (the CMSD is offering free camera inspections to qualifying Costa Mesa residents). He responded that he was aware of the program and did not need any further assistance from me. I hope this helps to clarify any miscommunication. Again, I thank you for your feedback.
