The costs were for the Loan Origination charges, less, points paid for the specified interest rate we got, + recording charges, Trust deed, appraisal, credit report, Escrow, title, and interest fees. This did not include: points (as stated), prepaid interest, prepaid taxes, prepaid mortgage payment. David was patient, responsive, and courteous throughout what can be an arduous, stressful, process. We were able to do this all electonically through PDF files, fax, phone calls & occasionally using "snail mail". Throughout the process he was honest, and took the time to explain the process & answer questions to our satisfaction. He was always available by phone or email, often outside of regular office hours. The only drawback is we didn't get to meet him in person during the entire process. The escrow person he used was equally as proficient & professional as he was. She also answered may questions we had along the way. I found Compass Home Lending on Bankrate, (website), but PLEASE, if using this service, deal with David directly, as Compass has other mortgage brokers working for them.
