Went just as planned no problems and looks great

Started our hunt for new windows since our 1972 home still had the originals and then home was drafty in the winter and hot in the summer. Plus most of the windows didn't slide well any longer. We knew we wanted Milgard based on the warranty and experiences other friends/family have had with them.

We contacted CGW and scheduled an estimate. Dallas arrived exactly when scheduled and walked around our home with my wife and I addressing all of our concerns and making recommendations based on our conversations. He was very knowledgeable about his products and didn't try to push us into anything else. We settled on the Tuscany windows based on their features and warranty for the glass.

His estimate arrived later that evening and was in another. and we had two options which was a no finance offer or a sales price offer, which we took the financing. It was a bit more, but that was ok with us. Additionally our city requires a permit for new windows and after speaking with the city, they stated I would need to provide all of the window detai8ls and the contractor license to get a permit. which would be about $200. However if the windows met their energy guidelines, they would waive the fee. That's great except I don't have time to do the leg work on this however Dallas said they would be happy to take care of the permit process. It was the best $$ spent to not have to deal with the city. =)

Install day came and they arrived right on time (all five of them .. or was it six) and got right to work. All floors were tarped so as to avoid dirt/mess around the house. The efficiency in which the team worked was amazing, all systematic like an assembly line. Very professional, courteous and answered any questions I had during the installation. When they completed the work, they even called the city and set up the inspection for the next morning. When the inspector arrived (and passed the work) he said that the installers did an outstanding job putting the windows in and he was very impressed.

We only had one small issue of the wrong glass in one bathroom window but CGW is getting it replaced.

Overall we will be recommending CGW to anyone that asks for a window reference. Greta job CGW team .... and no IM not a paid spokesperson =)

Person arrived on time and measured all our windows. Everything went well until he added up the estimate. The estimate for the exactly same windows installed was over 10% higher than our first estimate, Had it been closer, we probab;ly would have selected his company. The windows from the other company have not been installed yet, so it is difficult to make a comparison but I am betting that we made the right choice

the company is very knowledgeable and helped me understand my various different options and cost points. I quickly understood where not to waste my money and what was best for me. They came to the house and took the measurements and gave me a very competitive quote (compared to 2 other companies by phone). I was very impressed with their service as they were able to fit the installation into their schedule within a 2 week window.

It went really great. They did what they said they would, when they said they would for the price agreed. No excuses, just got it done.

My experience with them was pretty good.

Overall this was a A-experience with really good craftsmanship and installation. Family-owned and run, so they have skin in the game as well, and it shows.

They were very puntctual and communicated well.

.The whole job went great. I had gotten a couple estimates, letting the contractor describe the method they would use to enlarge the frame and install the new window. I also called the manufacturer to get their explanation of how they thought it should be done. This company was not the least expensive, but I went with them because their description most closely matched the manufacturer's recommended methodology. I did not want to take any chances in having the window leak. I was very happy with the workmanship as well as their punctuality and overall professionalism.

They were on time and professional. They also informed us that we would qualify for a tax credit, which was great since we didn't know that (no other vendors mentioned it). The door is beautiful and the installation went smoothly. There was one little ding on the door handle and they replaced the entire handle for us. Great experience.

From the first contact with Charles, through the estimate and order process with Jeff, to the early arrival of the windows, and the timely installation by Raleigh and Joe, the whole process was painless. The windows are energy efficient and really update the look of the house.

THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD BE HERE ONE DAY, AND I TOOK IT OFF WORK, AND THEY DID NOT SHOW UP TILL THE NEXT DAY. IT TOOK AWHILE TO FIX, BUT THE TIME AND MONEY WAS WELL WORTH IT.

JUST AN OK COMPANY TO WORK WITH. THREE INSTALLERS HAD THE JOB DONE IN 2 DAYS. ONE PROBLEM WAS THE SLIDING DOOR INSTALLATION, WHICH INTERFERED WITH THE WINDOW BLINDS. THE "BOSS" HAD TO COME OUT AND FIX THE PROBLEM. AFTER THE FIRST HEAVY RAIN, A LEAK WAS DETECTED IN THE BAY WINDOW THAT TOOK TWO ATTEMPTS TO FIX. BAY WINDOW SHELVE BRACKETS WERE NEVER ORDERED, SO IT TOOK MUCH LONGER THAN NEEDED TO FINISH.
