New Leaf Tree Sevice

I have owned my 50 yr old house for 15 years. When I first moved in, I planted the crape myrtle and the jacaranda, and pretty much just left them alone, so all the trees in the yard where very overgrown. Joaquin Arias is VERY knowledgeable (he is a certified arborist), and very helpful. I purposely used ?shaped? in my description of the work done. The shape and balance of the trees were enhanced ? there was no butchering or ?hat-racking?. Joaquin and his crew arrived promptly, did wonderful work, cleaned up everything afterwards. I was only a little disappointed with the results on the Star Pine ? compared to the work they did on the other trees, it didn?t seem like much was done. But the tree is not climbable, and everything had to be done from the ground, and this limited the result. The other four trees looked spectacular after the crew was done, and Joaquin had done the work described in his quote on the star pine.. I had some fruit trees that needed trimming, and that was scheduled for December, when they would be dormant. NOTE: I have been very delinquent in posting my report, and I apologize to Joaquin. He had been highly recommended to me by an acquaintance, I checked and found nothing adverse on Angie?s List, and so asked him for a quote. After meeting him in June of 2009 and hearing what he had to recommend, I was very happy to have him do the work for me, and I was not disappointed.

Joaquin and his crew of five men arrived about 8 a.m. They used ropes and pulley to climb the tree, not spiked shoes. They continued to work, taking one break, until everything was completed and cleaned up. Shrubbery under and near the tree was protected with covers.

He was on time, carefully examined my trees and kept careful notes. When he returned with his crew of four, a thorough job of tree trimming was done and done very well. The whole experience with this company was excellent.

Joaquin's team is highly qualified and know how to deal with people as well as trees. They work quietly and competently. The trees were not only trimmed but shaped to look more beautiful than ever. They were punctual, clean, professional, and went beyond the call of duty, so to speak, by educating me on ways to keep my trees more healthy. I have over 40 on my property and have used at least 3 other services. New Leaf was by far the best in all categories except price, but I believe in paying to get the best (and they weren't that far off). Joaquin is a certified arborist and was present the whole time, working and supervising. They could have recommended more work for themselves on a few trees, but instead recommended that we wait to see how they do. Tip: they are very busy, so call early if you decide to use them..

I THINK THEY DO EXCELLENT WORK. THEY DON'T TRIM TOO MUCH. THE TREE IS NICELY SHAPED, AND THEY CLEAN UP WELL. THEY'RE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND THEY HAVE GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH TREES, AND THEY'RE KIND OF LOOKING OUT FOR THE HEALTH OF THE TREE.
