Vickers Rain Gutter

After contacting three different companies for an estimate to clean our gutters, Mr. Vickers was the first to respond and with a reasonable estimate. After speaking to one of the other three companies, and not hearing from the third company, I went with Mr. Vickers. We scheduled an appointment for late morning a few days later. When he did not show up at the appointed time, I waited another two hours and called him. He apologized for being late and said he was behind schedule. He finally showed up another 45 minutes later and got to work. He cleaned out all the gutters and downspouts and cleaned up afterwards. It rained hard the next day, and the cleaned out gutters/downspouts worked much better.

Ken is very responsive and responsible. He had good suggestions and was clean and prompt.

Very happy with Ken's service. The price of his bid was similar to
others, but her was the only one to spot the cause of our gutter

We were having our house painted and the job stalled due to a lack of drainage from our gutter. He gave us an estimate the same day we contacted him and he finished the job well ahead of schedule. The quality of his work was outstanding, and we couldn't be happier with the results.

I highly recommend Ken Vickersof Vickers Rain Gutter for his thorough work. During a storm in early November, a 15 to 20 foot section of gutter broke away from the eves and, though still intact, was dangling above the flower bed. During the week, I called other Angie-listed gutter companies and left voice-mail messages to which I received no replies. I gave up waiting for them and in desperation called friends who recommended Ken Vickers based on his work at three different sites. Ken answered on the Saturday I called and came over about 25 minutes later to give me an estimate which I accepted. Because another storm was expected Sunday night, Ken offered to come back Sunday afternoon to do the work. At no additional expense, he did so. He reattached the dangling section and renailed the rest of the gutters to ensure no other sections would come down. He was able to make the twisted part look good and function properly. He cleaned out all the gutters and down spouts. At my request, he closed a small gap between the chimney and roof and installed a spark arrester on top of my chimney. His original estimate had been $275; the chimey work brought it up to $300. He even provided me with a recycled spark arrester at no charge. He didn''t charge me for cutting down and back the orange bushes which were blocking access to the gutters as well as trying to put branchers between the gutters and eves. (One of the reasons the gutters had been able to separate from the house. Clogged downspouts were the other reason. ) He cleaned up all the the debris from the bushes and the gutters, filling my green barrel. I will definitely call him again as well as recommend him to friends. The fact that he's courteous and personable made working with him easy.
