Mario came out the next day to give me a quote. Was punctual, courteous and answered all my questions. Was able to schedule the work for the next week,
Had the work done today. Mario hit more traffic than he expected on the way over, but was very proactive in letting me know he was running a few minutes late.
Upon arrival, Mario was professional and ready to get started. The job took him from about 930 am to 330 pm, work alone.
Mario had me come and approve the stain once he had applied it to a small area, and then completed the job.
I would use Mario again in a heart beat, and would refer him to friends and family.

The kitchen and entryway looks like a brand new floor. Mario did an excellent job replacing a broken tile, re-grouting and re-coloring several areas and then cleaning the kitchen/entryway floor completely including a stained strip of grout. I highly recommend using The Grout Expert. We definitely will be using them again. Great job.

It went well, starting with the estimate, Ricky visited my home on a Thursday and looked at the work I wanted done.
He said he would provide a quote via email that night, which he did.
I thought the quote was to high, I made that I thought was a reasonable request to increase the discount, and stated that I want was having company the arriving next Thursday and could he the smaller bath complete by then.
He said he would have both of the baths done, and could start on Memorial Day.
On Monday (Memorial) Two of his employees showed up at 9:30a, as he said they would.
They worked until about 5:30p, taking 1/2 hour for lunch. The first day they completed the larger Master Bath.
On Tuesday, one showed up and did the second bath, again working until about 5pm.
After each day they cleaned up, they never left a mess for me to clean up.
 I was very happy with the result.

The owner came out, he was very professional, was able to schedule us for the same week. The person performing the work was on time, he cleaned up well afterwards and did a nice job.

Several years ago Adam had done a lot of work on tile at my home -- fixing grout in a bathroom and entry way and cleaning and staining grout on my kitchen countertop and floor. Over the years, with probably too much scrubbing, the grout immediately around my kitchen sink area had become dirty and stained.  Mario came, cleaned, added additional grout and restained the area.  In addition, he cleaned up the poorly calked sink installation and cleaned and polished my kitchen sink.  I would definitely call Adam, the Grout Expert, again.

Excellent. Very easy to work with. On time for both the estimate and the job. No pressure on using the more expensive stain sealing but very glad we did. He explain both processes and showed us samples and we went with the stain seal. The floor looked amazing when he was done. job.

Both men were courteous and professional from start to finish. Mario arrived promptly for the estimate and answered all of our questions in detail. He checked the bathroom tiles for possible water damage behind them - thankfully there was none. He gave us our estimate that day. He and Adam arrived at the appointed time on the day scheduled for the work. They took care to protect our floors and carpeting throughout the house, and left both rooms clean when they finished. The grouting is now clean and sharp, and the tiles look brand new (even though they're not!) and sparkling now - what a difference! It was a pleasure to have them work for us. We would definitely hire them again and recommend them to our friends.

Wonderful service in every respect. I negotiated the price for the work in the kitchen based on the need for additional service early next year to replace grout in bathrooms.

My experience started off on the completely wrong foot but was salvaged by Adam. Don't be turned off by the people you reach on the phone. Once you are dealing directly with Adam you are in great hands.

The bad
The Grout Experts appear to use a call service company to handle incoming calls etc. In my opinion this call service is horrible and possibly costing them customers.

I called to schedule a free inspection and my information was taken and I was told I had a 12pm appointment. When 12:20pm rolled around nobody was at my home so I called for an update. They asked for all of my information again then informed me I would be called back. The general service area I am in is run by Hoang, he called me shortly afterwards and apologized for the miscommunication. Appointments are given in 1 hour windows and I was scheduled for 12pm-1pm, the call service company should not have told me it was a 12pm appointment. I have had a few other contractors out and know the hour window is the norm so I had no problem with that. Hoang said my technician was on the way and should be there on time.

I waited until 1:20pm rolled around before I was completely annoyed. I called Hoang and canceled the appointment. Hoang was surprised and thought someone should have been there already.

About 10 minutes after I canceled Adam knocked on my door. Since he was already at the door I asked for some time to cool off then invited him in to carry on with the inspection.

The good
Once I was finally directly interacting with Adam everything was great. Adam is very friendly and open about the work that needed and didn't need to be done.

Adam gave me a fair quote and more importantly his direct cell phone number to avoid the call center service in the future. After discussing the quote with my wife I called Adam back to confirm the work to be done and schedule everything.

I did not receive a courtesy call confirming the appointment a day in advance. I mentioned this to Adam and he said it should have been done (call service company dropped the ball again)

Actual work performed
When my appointment time rolled around Adam was at the door at 10am on the dot.

I am a first time homeowner and still learning all of my new responsibilities. I followed Adam around and took notes on everything. In addition to doing the scheduled work Adam also explained things I would need to know to handle items on my own. He was honest with me regarding what didn't need a contractor and what I should be able to handle with DIY supplies from Lowes or Home Depot.

I noticed that Adam is one of the quality workers who doesn't just want to do his job, he wants to do his job right. For example, when he was done caulking areas he would go back to it to make sure everything looked right and was setting correctly. He didn't just caulk and move on.

The awful experience with the call service center is the only blemish preventing an and quot;Aand quot; grade.

They did a good job. I am happy with their work. It was not very expensive. They did what they said they would do. They guy who came out was very nice. He was clean. He was polite. He wore the little booties in. I would use their service in the future too.

I called the 800 number and arranged for Adam to come out and give me an estimate for cleaning and sealing my kitchen grout and repairing the cracking grout in my entry and bathroom. Adam arrived right on the agreed upon time. He took his time to look over what needed to be done, explained what he would do, and gave me a quote. I had originally planned to get another quote but I was impressed by his knowledge, pleasant demeanor, and professionalism. (As a result I don't know how their price would compare with others for the same work.) Adam and Jason were easy to deal with. They arrived on time and got right to work. My kitchen looks like it did when the tile was first put down! Adam told me that the sealer they used will resist stains and that I should have no further discolored grout. He was able to repair the cracking grout and blend the color so that one would never know that the grout had been repaired. There was one small area in the bathroom grout that I was not happy with so Adam came back and redid it. He encouraged me to call him on his cell if there were any further problems.
