After 4 tries, I finally reached him (never returned my other 3 calls/texts). He said he'd come by and look at my issue the next day but then never showed up. This has happened several times with him after he installed our fence and I'm tired of trying to hunt him down. He needs an office manager.

Jim and his crew did a great job on the fence and were very helpful in figuring out how to configure the fence. Easy to work with. I recommend this company.

Jim Makrakis is absolutely superb at his craft. During our first meeting he listened, understood what I wanted and made valuable suggestions. Once contracted, he was onsite during the entire job. He had two helpers actually doing the work and their workmanship was excellent. I was particularly impressed when I simply asked him to replace a fencepost which served as the hinge post for the side yard gate. He not only replaced a wobbly old 4X4 with a beefy pressure-treated 6X6 that will withstand the next ice age, he replaced the hinges, tuned up the gate, resized the adjacent fence panel (because the 6X6 took up more space) and even added a flashing to the side of the house where the fence meets. To my perception he went beyond what was expected.
His prices are competitive, he showed up when expected and worked quickly. Besides all this, he?s a nice guy. I enthusiastically endorse Lamorinda Fence Co.

Jim was prompt, professional, was a good communicator, and his crew did great work and left our yard clean and neat. We are very pleased!

his quote was half the rest of the prices we were quoted and he was able to squeeze us in quickly (we have and escape artist dog and 2 door opening toddlers, also we just moved here and live near the highway so the dogs escaping is a scary issue). He worked hard with one other guy and went above and beyond to add things (like securing the side boards on an existing fence when he noticed the boards were loose)
he was also the only one able to schedule the job before december (he came in and did the work before over half of the other companies were willing to come out and quote it)

I called Jim and he was able to give me an estimate the next day. The work was scheduled for the following week. The crew did a great job. They were timely and they took great care in cleaning up the work area.
