I called then 5 times and never spoke to a person, I got voice-mail and left messages with short description of my projects asking someone to contact me, come over and see the work and then provide a quote.

Because the work has not started, if I do have them do the work, I will update this review ASAP.

They were fine. I didn't use them because of the price. Their price wasn't that out of line. They were all pretty close but the other company was $100.00 cheaper. They were timely. They were good. I consider getting an estimate from them again.

He was wonderful. We have not got him to do the job yet, but we will go with him. He was professional and nice. He had good answers to all our questions. We have not finalized all the details, but so far so good.

Ricardo and his team were excellent.  They are priced competitively and do great work.  They showed up everyday ontime and worked quietly and quickly.  I work from home and was rarely disturbed by the work going on outside my window.  Also, they went above and beyond by taking my existing roofwater drain system and putting it under the new driveway.  I had all the materials, so Ricardo did this free of charge.
I'd highly recommend them for affordable and quality concrete work.

They did a great job. They fixed the concrete due to tree roots growing in.

They started early in the morning and continued throughout the day.  They repaired most of the driveway that had been lifted up by tree roots.  They cut the roots all the way back to midway between the tree and the edge of the driveway.  Then they paved the driveway.  Just a great job from start to finish.  I would highly recommend them.

I had Ricardo do some work at my son's house and called him for an estimate on the concrete work at my house.  I got estimates for the work from several contractors and selected Ricardo again.  We talked about color and stamping the concrete.  I originally thought I would like the flagstone look, but changed my mind before the job started.  I called Ricardo and we discussed what might look best and decided on the brick stamping which matched some other portions of the house.
We set a date two weeks out to start the work.  Richardo expected the work to take about four days.  The week before the job was to start, Ricardo called to discuss the size of the channel drain and we decided on 6" wide to carry the water.  Ricardo and his crew showed up as agreed two weeks from the date we agreed on the proposal with the equipment to demo the driveway.  Ricardo and his crew worked all day--some of the concrete was thicker than we expected--and hauled away all the debri.  Ricardo brought stamp and color samples and we settled on red running brick.  Rain was forecast for the next day so Ricardo and his crew came back the following day.  The concrete truck appeared and the pour started.  They finished and left one person behind to smooth out the concrete, color and stamp the porch concrete, and take care of the concrete during the first day of curing.  Ricardo and crew came back for final cleanup and checking on Friday.  Everything turned out great!  Now I have concrete that slopes as it should and a great looking front porch that won't require tile or brick work ever!
Came in at the price quoted and in the timeframe promised!  Ricardo is always helpful and ready to answer any questions.  He's great at explaining what is needs to be done, what they are doing and what the next steps are.  His crew is always considerate and professional.  I'll use them again the next time I have concrete work and recommend him to everyone!

When I bought the house, I knew that the garage floor slabs had tilted and at a minimu I had a high likelihood tripping hazard on my hand.  I found JMZ Concrete on Agnie's List and contacted them. Ricardo returned my emails, came by, looked at the situation and gave me 2 options -- have 1/2 the floor replaced to get rid of the worst of the harzard, or have the whole thing done.  The previous floor, poured in 1973 was thin, had no rebar in it and couldn't just be 'chipped' down to remove the tripping hazard.
I went with the whole floor to get rid of all the problem at once and start off with a clean floor for my 'garage shop'-to-be.  Ricardo's estimates were clear and had good detail; he was able to start on short notice and was very efficient.  His crew cleaned up after themselves very nicely and the floor perfect.
I was very impressed at how punctual they were and how well they cleaned up !  Concrete's a dirty job and you would NEVER have known anyone was working on the house after they left for the day.

UPDATE: November 2nd, 2011 - I have not heard or seen anything from him. If he was not interested in providing a quote, he should've communicated upfront, rather than wasting both our valuable times. I have tenants waiting to have the improvements made and now I look bad.ugh

I got their name from Angie's List. His bid was easy to follow in comparison to another one that I had got. It was not detailed. They were responsive.

We had Jimenez Concrete redo a walkway for us. At the time of our initial meeting we requested that he take the time to cover the construction area as we just had our house painted. There was a lot of demo work involved and nothing had been covered as he said it would be. The house was a mess, the new wood door we purchased had a chip in it and the area looked like a war zone. When I husband confronted him about this, he was on the defense and basically was going to walk off the job site with our front walkway ripped up. We worked through that issue and he continued with the project. There was one area that was poorly done with a post that had existing concrete on it which he just poured around it. It looked terrible and was the first thing people saw. We had him come back to fix it but it took some effort on our part to get him to fix it. After the job was complete, I checked his license on the California State License Board and found his license had been suspended for not having workers comp. Bottom line, he is the cheapest you'll find and he did do a good job but we had to babysit to a degree and walk on eggshells to get him to complete the project.

They were very good. I would recommend them. It was a huge job and they have done a great job. I am happy with those people. They were very honest and upfront. They don't go around the bush explaining things and they are straight forward in what the job requires. The measurement they gave me was as mush as my measurement. A lot of companies give measurements knowing that people don't know how to measure, but I do. I was checking every single thing that they did on the measurement part because it was a big job and I knew it from the start and they gave me the exact measurement. It was very close to my measurement and they gave me a very good price so I proceeded with the job. They came on time and everybody was nice to deal with. The quotes that I got from three different companies were high compared to Jimenez Concrete. They gave the lowest and the best price. The quality in terms of the work that they have done and the concrete had a lot of qualities too, but they gave me a very good price and a good quality concrete. It's a great work that they have done and they really worked hard on this. They were very responsive. Whenever I called them, they called me back within 10 minutes and Ricardo is the owner and his father works with him. Ricardo has always returned my call, explained to me the doubts I've had or if I was confused or something that didn't understand. He made things very clear to me by explaining the whole process of the job. They are very quick on returning calls. They weren’t late at all. They were very professional. They are not just concerned about how much money they make, but they are also concerned about the clients they deal with. I called them again and they did work on another job. These were two separate jobs and they did the first job for $8000 and the other one for $4000. I called them because I needed the front yard and they maintained their good job and I was happy with them overall.

They were easily under bid by half to the other people that looked at it. They found a different way to fix the problem rather than just pour self leveling concrete. I liked the way that Mr. Jimenez looked at the issue, found a solution, and saved me about $1000.00 in the whole process. I would use them again in the future.

I removed a badly installed engineered wood floor and found ceramic tile and backer board affixed directly to the concrete slab. After much work to get everything removed, the concrete slab was uneven and pitted. I called for estimates for leveling the concrete. Ricardo came to take measurements and check the floor. Ricardo answered all my questions, was very professional and patient. It took several back-and-forths with Al to get the estimate which finally was faxed. We scheduled the work and Ricardo showed up on time. We went over the floor with a level and Ricardo went to work. We planned on meeting to check the work the next day after it had a chance to dry. When we checked the work the next day, we both knew more had to be done. Ricardo did not batt an eye about having to redo some of the work and apologized for taking more time than planned. We scheduled the next leveling session; Ricardo came again and did the work. We checked it again and it still was not quite right. We were both frustrated, but decided to try one more time. The 3rd time was the charm and the floor turned out great. The hardwood floor installers said it was a really good job and they didn't need to do any prep! Thanks, Ricardo!

Mr. Jimenez showed up on time to give me an estimate on an asphalt driveway repair I needed. However he explained to me that he does not do "asphalt" work. I was very impressed by his professionalism.
