Our original AC people were unable to even come out for two weeks when our air conditioning just stopped working one Sunday in July. We looked up an alternative and JMT was able to come the next day. They had to order a part but were back the following day to put it in and get the air up and running. We were grateful to say the least.

We had an urgent air conditioning problem during a recent heat wave at our townhouse in Martinez, CA.  Other A/C contractors could not schedule for several days, but the owner (Mark) at JMT heard the secretary take the call, and he agreed to come out the next day, even though he was somewhat incapacitated by a foot injury.  To make matters more unhappy, our "home warranty" company was proving difficult to schedule, work with, pin down on who was responsible for what.  We had to figure out whether to clean out the old unit or simply replace it.  Mark gave me excellent advice, quoted a fair price, solved some problems caused by prior inept installation, and finished the job as soon as a new unit and parts became available.  His men never complained about some challenges of the townhome's layout, they just figured out solutions.  As you can tell, I'm a big fan of JMT.

The temperatures had been well over 100 for 4 days and the internal temperature of my home was well over 95.  I have an elderly dog that cannot get in the pool and I was fearful for his safety.  I called another company with whom I have a contract, but they were unable to come until Tuesday 7/2 in the afternoon.  I was miserable, and called JMT Mechanical, they came out despite a transportation strike, a fire in the foothills, and a severlly injured foot.  They got the unit up and running and we are on our way to a cooler home.  I am so grateful for JMT Mechanical, and while I had to pay a bit more, it was not nearly as bad as I anticipated, so that is always welcome news.  I would recommend JMT Mechanical.  They are friendly, quick, and helped this damsel and her beloved pets.

.We called JMT Mechanical as they were listed on Mitsubishi's list of approved installers and were close to home.  The owner Mark came by to check out the house and give us a recommendation on what we needed.  Before Mark came I checked out our furnace and it was over 21 years old so figured he might as well give us a estimate on replacing it also.  Mark was on time and made recommendations on where the Mitsubishi ductless A/C should be located in our Family Room.  In checking out how the guts of the unit would be placed he noticed that our hot water heater was a Mountgomery Wards unit that was quite old so we decided to have him also give us a price on a tankless hot water heater.
Mark gave us a quote on the Mitsubishi A/C, a American Standard Furnace and  a Eternal Hybrid Hot Water Heater we decided to have them do the job. This was on a friday and Mark called back to see if they could start on monday (still not too hot so not very busy).
Mark and two workman showed up monday and the two workman started the job.  They were here four days and did a great job.
We had no complaints with any of the work and both men were very polite and kept us advised what they were doing.
As it has not been too hot or cold we have not had a chance to try out either the furnace or the A/C heat pump unit but the hot water heater works great.

I am happy with the end result.
Everything was done as promised, on budget, and on time.
The units worked very well (Carrier brand) and they are much more energy efficient than previous ones.
They warm and cool house much better.
Chose this vendor over others despite higher price because of professionalism and knowhow. Also, was not happy with other vendors pushing for unnecessary items.
Did not rate A because there were a couple of items that had to be redone and corrected in 2012 (condensed water drain pipe had wrong t-valve and was leaking and exhaust vent pipe from furnace on the roof was not extended 18 inches from pipe exit per code).
Also, after I pointed out these problems, JMT was very responsive and corrected them without charge.
Despite these two disappointing items, I have retained JMT mechanical to continue doing maintenance to the A/C and Furnace since 2006, because they have a good maintenance service package, they know the units very well, and are very responsive.

We received four bids. JMT's was competitive and inspired the most confidence in terms of their competence. The job was especially complicated by the fact that our heater closet is very narrow. Dan, the primary installer, did an outstanding job of getting the heater to fit into a very tight space. The installation of both heater and A/C was very clean and professional. All JMT personnel who worked on the job were courteous and professional. JMT informed us about the availability of a 12-month, zero-interest loan offered by a heater industry organization, and Jackie in the JMT office was very helpful to us with completing the application. We are extremely pleased with the equipment JMT recommended and with the quality of the installation.

Very good company. I had used them to service my equipment every 6 months, after having the ducts cleaned a couple years ago. They show up right on time, they are very careful to clean everything when they are done. They had to install a new larger air return system, and they crawled around in the crawlspace to double check all the ductwork, as well as testing it with equipment. Great crew, good company to work with.
