HANDY MA'AM

I was inspired by Carol's spirit and impressed with her high marks on Angie's List. I paid her when she started only to find later that most of her work was done wrong and I had to immediately undo problems she left, like smeared paint on the linoleum floor in the bathroom, paint in the sink where she?d put a paint can, and paint all over the wooden cutting board in the kitchen. The nick ?repair? in the sink was rough. The dry rot "repair" was jagged. The plaster walls were speckled poorly and painted badly. I had to dig out wood putty, which never dries, from the baseboards, replace it with wood patch, and re-stain it. She replaced the door to the barn with unmatched wood when the original door was right there. She reset the entry bricks on plywood, which caused the warping in the first place, instead of using sand, because, she claimed "there's a big hole under there." Her helper later admitted there was no hole. Her workmanship is terrible and she lied to cover it up.

Carol came over on short notice, did a walk through and gave me an estimate. We agreed on everything that needed to be fixed, cleaned and painted. Carol is very thorough, professional and helpful. Her preference is to fix whatever is fixable rather than throw things out and buy new. I'm sure this saved me money. I gave Carol a down payment in cash so she could buy supplies. She came back a couple days later and together with her assistant Jose (also very nice and knowledgeable) they got everything done over two days. Then I sent her a check for the rest of the estimate.
