CUSTOM-MADE RAIN GUTTERS INC

Custom Made Rain Gutters, INC has demonstrated unprofessional business practices despite the testimonials they present in their sales package. I paid them for a service and product. In return, Custom Made Rain Gutters has refused to communicate with me and ultimately dishonored their contract. In January 2007, Custom Made Rain Gutters, INC installed rain gutters around my house according to the design their estimator had drafted. I paid Custom Made in full. A few weeks later, I found that the patio door, which opens outward, made contact with a downspout. I called Custom Made to ask them to move the downspout a few inches away from the door. Custom Made Rain Gutter's contract states that they guarantee workmanship and parts. They said they d charge 100.00 for the necessary move-- this move due to their faulty workmanship! This minor problem became a greater problem when the door knocked the downspout /gutter connection out of alignment. Thomas and Donna Brown, owners, ignored my calls (I assume with the help of caller id). In March 2007, I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. Three days later, without notifying me, Custom Made Rain Gutters entered my backyard and performed the shoddiest fix. Instead of patching the hole and moving the downspout a few inches away from the door, Custom Made performed a cut/patch job that deviated from the design of the other downspouts. This made that section look neither new nor professionally crafted. Since Custom Made Rain Gutters had finally decided to attempt a repair, they should have called first. When I called Custom Made Rain Gutters to ask about the unannounced entry and the tacky repair job, Tim, the installer, stated that he d done the job satisfactorily. I filed a second complaint for Custom Made to fix the ugly repair or send a refund to me for the cost of reputable gutter company to rectify the problem. Again this poor excuse for a gutter company displayed its lack of customer care by not responding to the BBB's first two forwards of my second complaint. By the third forward Custom Made Rain Gutters, INC responded with statements unrelated to the fact that they made a mistake, refused to fix it correctly, and refused to talk to me. JB Roofing, fixed the problem in forty five minute, at a cost of eighty dollars so easy. JB simply moved the downspout a few inches away from the door and replaced the shoddy cut-away sections. Custom Made Rain Gutters, INC, remaining true to their lazy and insolent mode of doing business did not appear in small claims court in June of this year. I successfully sued them for the eighty dollars. I can live without the eighty dollars that Custom Made Rain Gutters has yet to send. But I can t live without potentially saving another hard working, busy person from spending money, time and energy on Custom Made Rain Gutters, INC The Company That Just Doesn t Care.

They were very responsive, they knew exactly what they were doing. They were very friendly, they answered all our questions and helped us out with what was the best thing to do. I would recommend them to others.

After making an initial appointment for an estimate, they called and left a message to say they wouldn't be able to make it, but suggested an alternate. I was unable to immediately call them back to reschedule, but to my surprise they showed up at the alternate time anyway and did the estimate while I was gone. They left a very detailed estimate and a folder with all the pertinent information, and all was very self explanatory. After getting an estimate from another company which was higher, I scheduled an appointment. They were very flexible and even allowed me to schedule the removal and installation a week apart so I could do some painting. The installation went very smoothly and quickly.

OK experience. The sales experience was pleasant. The guys that came out to do the work were very nice and did a good job. Only negative part was the lack of communication about scheduling. The guys couldn't finish it all in one day (they did everything but the downspouts). They left the downspouts in the yard around the house on a Friday afternoon and no one called to let me know they couldn't come back out until Wednesday to finish. Was lead to believe on the phone that if they didn't finish on Friday, they would be back out on Saturday. No one on Saturday and no call. No one on Monday and no call. Called Tuesday morning to find out what was going on and they said that I was scheduled for Wednesday. A call and better explanation beforehand would have been appreciated.

THIS COMPANY SET UP AN APPOINTMENT, AND SHOWED UP ON TIME. THE MAN THAT DID THE WORK WAS VERY HARD WORKING. HE FINISHED IN ONE DAY, AND THE GUTTERS LOOK GREAT. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND POLITE.

RIGHT FROM THE START THE SALES REP WAS VERY POLITE AND HELPFUL. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE SEAMLESS GUTTERS. THE CREW WAS ON TIME AND DONE IN ONE DAY. THE GUTTERS WERE MATCHED TO THE COLOR OF THE TRIM ON MY HOUSE. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE JOB. WELL DONE.
