Slow and no-service for three months, Then WHAM $161.85 charge out of the blue. No phone call or letter. They claimed emails but I saw nothing saying anything about $161.95. When I called and complained that they should have called me, they said it wouldn’t be feasible to call their customers. They also took it out of my account on autopay. Colfaxnet also took $900 out of my sons account when he was overseas serving with the marines. My son was unable to rectify the problem because his posting had restricted communications.

We have been very honored by our customers voting us Best of the Best Internet Service 5 years in a row and we strive to bring this level of service to all our customers. As for the charge on the account, every month we send out a statement (paper or email depending on customer preference) which will show your monthly balance and what will be charged to your card. If you are subscribed to receive email notices, if there is are any additional charges on the account you will also receive a second email alerting you so that there are no surprises. Even after the card is charged, we are happy to work with all customers to accommodate their needs. Without going into details of the account, we would recommend calling the office to find out why there was a high charge and we are always happy to work with our customers to address any issues. We have no contracts so we say "we earn your next month's business". In regards to your son's account, active accounts will be charged automatically to the card on file (if subscribed to auto-pay). If he did not disconnect service before leaving so his family members would continue to have Internet Service, he would still be charged each month. However, he could have temporarily disconnected service while he was overseas and then restarted service when he got back. We work very hard to accommodate all customers' requests. Colfaxnet was recommended to me by relatives. The owner, Corey, came out within a couple of days and set up the equipment quickly. There was an installation charge. Corey will let you have as many email address as you want. The service is very fast, close to high speed cable. He has different levels of service. I pay $85 per month for a middle of the road connection, but it is very fast. He has a faster service and a slower service for a different monthly cost. Corey service is almost never down. If I do have a problem, I just call him and he walks me through the fix, most of the time it was not a problem with his service.
