Willie Nelson of Affordable Septic responded immediately to our request for quotation for a complete septic system replacement. His response was detailed and included all the services necessary to do the job completely AND he came in at considerably lower cost than my other estimates. Once we signed the contract, he started work almost immediately, laying out the site as per the engineer's plan and getting swift approval from the inspector to proceed. An early indication of his trustworthiness was his encouragement for me to both observe the work and to fully participate in any decisions about the job. His philosophy is that the job be done right the first time with no rework or returns required. Septic system replacement requires a considerable amount of backhoe work, which skill he demonstrated with both his speed and precision, rarely having to make adjustments to his dig after his laser measurements. He carefully dug to expose existing irrigation lines and cut and capped the lines for later reconnection. Where possible, he tried to stay away from existing trees. Early on in the job we learned that the existing septic tank would have to be replaced. Willie quickly adjusted the estimate and his dig plans at a very reasonable price. As the work progressed, Willie coordinated the delivery of the tanks almost to the minute they were required. He planned the type of delivery and setting vehicle and cleared the rather difficult delivery path to ensure a minimum subcontractor delay. He was prepared at the beginning of each day with the materials needed for the day's work and almost never had to leave to acquire other supplies, even when he had to adjust to the few unexpected adjustments. Despite the inevitable disruption of removing and replacing so much dirt, the final clean-up and leveling was performed carefully and well. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of the job and willingly explained what he was doing. His work was quick and precise with almost no wastage. He insisted on using only the most reliable materials and appeared always to be dedicated to doing a first rate job. He tested all parts of the work before moving to the next aspect and carefully tested the finished system.Upon final inspection there were no changes required and the job was approved on the first review. Overall the job was conducted in a professional and collaborative fashion and we feel we got a first rate product at a reasonable price.
