Done well and on time.
"I am sorry for the misunderstanding; I did spend your material deposit money on materials and labor that you did in fact receive and I was on standby for you to choose what color of exposed aggregate rock you wanted. While I was placing some fill gravel as prep for your patio, I injured my back as you will remember and had to go home for the remainder of the day. The next day I sent one of my guys over to continue work. I am sorry for this. I was trying to be flexible with you guys and your decision making process, and I had hoped that you would be flexible with me and my injury. I wish that you would have been more specific in your review and given the whole story. To imply that I never showed up, then took your money is dishonest. I delivered the full value of what you spent in material and labor. Also I am surprised that you are accusing me of taking your shovels, this just simply not true."
