We used to have an ant problem and we haven't had it in 5 years so it is very effective. The price is very reasonable. We will continue to use them.

You, as the client, will have to make up your own mind in this situation. But, there are plenty of other companies you can go with, and I have a few I would recommend. But, as for this company, here is my final comment on this subject. Why would I sign a contract for two months knowing that I would be moving that next month? I told him I was moving….he knew that. Yet, he did not mention the two-month contract. I certainly didn’t know anything about a 4-month commitment! No, I did not read that contract….I trusted him. Most people tend to trust others. Yes, they will show you the contract now….would they have if you had not read this? I have had two pest control services in the past, (one for termites) and NEITHER of them required anything but a month-to-month contract. The CS person for this company says I was rude…well; wouldn’t you be if someone wanted to charge you for services they did not perform, and then basically call you a liar? I think her ego is wrapped-up in being “right” more so than doing the right thing. If they can do this to me…I’m sorry is this really the kind of company you would want to do business with? Personally, I think this goes on a lot more than we know, people just do not complain. Yes, they have their contract, but they are lacking in business ethics….it’s called lack of disclosure. To be honest it really should be illegal. In today’s economy, can you afford the make a mistake?
Response from SPIDER GUY PEST CONTROL
"At the time the member received our services, she signed a form clearly stating that she was signing up for a monthly service. We do not offer one time services during the Spring or Summer months. After having completed the service she canceled her account. Since she only allowed us to complete a "one time service" she was back charged for the one time service rate of 76.00. When she called in she said that she knew she knew she signed the form, but did not read what she was signing. There is a special place on the form specifically designated to inform the customer that they are in fact signing up for a "monthly service. This section requires an initial and is only one sentence long. It is clearly designated and often highlighted. For the record, we offer a monthly service with no annual contracts, but we do request a customer stays on for at least four months, to allow us to achieve the ultimate result. We do not make a customer stay on for four months, we just request it. If a customer cancels anytime after the second month of service, we cancel the account without any extra charges. However, if a customer cancels after the first service, that is considered a "one-time service" which results in a 76.00 charge. While we apologize for any misunderstanding on her part, it is our belief that she owes the balance of 38.00, and we will continue working through the proper channels to collect the fees due. Despite the campaign by her to damage our reputation, we stand by our policy, and encourage everyone to know what they sign. Also, we are one of the very few companies who do not require a yearly contract. If any consumer would like to take a look at our service form, clearly stating that it is a monthly service, please feel free to contact us, we will gladly fax you a copy. (559) 266-3066"

WE THINK THEY ARE VERY RELIABLE, AND IF WE HAVE A PROBLEM OF ANY KIND THEY WILL COME OVER AND FIX IT. HOWEVER, THEIR PRICE KEEPS GOING UP, SO I THINK WE ARE GOING TO START LOOKING AROUND FOR SOMEONE ELSE.
