He told me that he was going to construct it in a certain way which he did not and then he used cheap lumber, and then he didn’t finish the job. He quoted me a price of $1400 for the job that he didn’t finish and he didn’t follow through of what he said he was going to do. I did go to Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint, although they were unable to finalize anything as he never contacted them. I’ve tried to contact him but he stopped returning my calls. He is awful and I rate him very poor. I would absolutely not use him again in the future. In fact if I can stop anybody else from using him, I will do it.

No written contract, mistake number one. Wanted the money up front because quote, "I have to pay the guys first",mistake number two. Verbal contract was not honored because he did not pull electrical like he said he would. Told me he would make it look good and it's very shoddy. Paint is one coat and thin, headers are too small, now twisting away from their joint. Headers also have cracks and splits from being cheap wood. There are gaps of all different sizes in the plywood underlying the roof. The 2x6's are exposed and he was supposed to close it in creating a smooth finish. Originally the city failed first inspection because of incorrect header size. He said he would brace the headers, that he wanted to make it look good, wanted to do the right thing and then 3 months later, unbeknownst to me, the patio "passed" it's inspection and he stopped returning all calls after this.He did not return phone calls in timely manner when things were going well. He does not care about the quality of his work. Would recommend never to use this individual as he is not honest. I have been personally aquainted but not close friends with this individual for many years through a social program.
