Don't do this if you need grass anytime soon. 3 weeks in, crab grass, nut grass, weeds, mold, and a little grass here and there. About 850 square feet of hydro seed and after 3 weeks, maybe 50 square feet had grass and it was in different places. Then I'm told it takes longer during hot weather. I'm thinking in 16 weeks it would come in, but when you can get sod for just little more than double the payment, no need to wait 3 months to have good looking grass now... waste of money and time. I got sod for just slightly more than double and it was immediate.
