I was in a rush to get my smog done for DMV. I called a few places, and I could get it done for the same price somewhere else but they were located in Rancho Cordova, which was a further drive for me. At 14 miles per gallon in gas this was important to me, essentially, it would have tacked on another $10.00 to my bill. After calling and quot;Earth Stationand quot; the price was right and they seemed nice on the phone so I decided to give it a shot. No appointment needed (I'm not sure if this is the case for ALL services or at ALL times). After giving them my information, they gave me an estimate of how long it would take. I think they told me about twenty minutes or so. I was thinking it was really fast, but sure enough even a little before the time they told me, they were back in with my keys I paid and went about my day. I was very satisfied and will return here for my next smog. In addition I would recommend them to friends and family. Only thing I could critique is that on their water station they were out of cups and it was a very hot day so some cool water would have been nice but this may have been a one time thing.

I was having my bi-annual California Smog Check completed, which is the primary focus of Earth Station's business. I was absolutely amazed at how professional, courteous and considerate everyone associated with this business performed. The affable individual behind the counter who greets you is Keith, pleasant, extremely knowledgeable (a technician himself). My vehicle passed as I had expected, but I had other issues with this car. The timing belt was due for replacement and is a very involved repair, unlike most cars. So involved that it's always wise to replace the water pump at the same time, as the hours required to replace the belt, is the same amount of time to replace the water pump. Belt and pump are located one in front of the other. I had estimates from other reputable dealers (2)in excess of 1500.00. I asked Keith for an estimate and was impressed at the reasonable cost. Parts used would be original equipment (OEM Chrysler) Reduces comebacks because of poor fitment and quality. I thought well each of the techs are ASE certified. So I gave them the job. Keith called to advise of broken torque mounts, I thanked him and explained I would handle this repair. The car was ready on time. All of the old parts were available for my inspection. I will have Earth Station now and in the future, service, repair and complete SMOG Checks on all of my vehicles.They provide all services except selling or repairing tires. I highly recommend this service facility. Be prepared to be pleased!
