CAPITOL MECHANICAL, INC.

The technician was there on time and proceeded to check whether we had a plugged evaporator coil. He spent a good 45 minutes painstakingly getting into the sealed compartment to check. After noticing that it was fine, he checked the vent and discovered that it was a return instead of a supply air vent. He then concluded that the problem with the stat was probably a bad capacitor in the motherboard without even checking it. He offered to install a new stat but I declined. He then demanded payment of $162 for a little over an hours work- either cash or credit card. The immediate payment stipulation was not mentioned during the initial appointment. I have since discovered that the problem with the stat was a green corrosion on the battery contacts. A simple cleaning of the contacts corrected the problem.

I am on a contract with them. They called and said it is time for them to come out.

They did some duct work too. They came out when they said they would. We had to wait a little for the appointment because the time of the year.

Done quickly and efficiently.

They got it cleaned out and got the smell out of it. They were up there hosing, cleaning, spraying and all that stuff in there. They were reasonable. They come out quick.

They did a really great job. I was really happy with them.

The job was handled very professionally. The work crews arrived on time, and they were courteous and efficient. For the rebate a City of Roseville inspector had to an inspection when the job was complete. The inspector told me that the job was done correctly and was very clean. He had been inspecting a lot of homes for the rebate qualifications, and this was only the second one that he had found that the contractor had done everything correctly. The unit has been working well, and I can tell it is already more efficient.

Capacitor probably $30. part charged me $50. Took him an 30 to 40 min to replace, drug it out to an hour so charged me hour labor. Walked into my house without shoe covers. Most repair, plumbers, PGE and others all wear shoes covers. Told me he was new to air conditioning repair. Overall not great experience.

THEY DID GOOD QUALITY WORK FOR ME. I GAVE THEM ALL A'S BECAUSE THEY WERE GREAT AT WHAT THEY DID. I WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE THEM AGAIN, AND I HAVE RECOMMENDED THEM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY AS WELL.
