It went very well. Charles, who installed the door as well as providing a bid, was professional in his original meeting with me. He answered all my questions well, and Bell's price was competitive. He arrived early after checking with me to make sure it was ok, and he did the work quickly and efficiently. He cleaned up after completing the job.

ALWAYS responded promptly to my calls. Repaired gate weld and poorly programed software in controller. Returned without additional charges until operation was satisfactory!

Pat returned my call immediately and ended up coming out to repair my gate the same day! This was after waiting for a call back from the fence company who originally did all our fences and gates...I waited 6 days with no call back. Thank goodness for Pat and his son! The ended up having to saw off the hinge welds because one of the hinges was not moving much. The gate was repaired and welded back on in about 90 minutes! I was so impressed with his reasonable pricing and professionalism. I am going to have him do two other new projects that I was going to give my original fencing contractor.

I didn't think he should have charged us to fix it. 

I think he know his job but there was something that he didn't set up right and we had problems with it little later.

It went well. He was quick. It was a promo then it was a great price.

We called 3 or 4 gate installers and Pat was the only one who responded.  His bid was acceptable, so we hired him to do the work.  He came out on a very hot, hot day and worked all day to install the gate, and openers.  I was impressed by how hard this man works.  The garage door opener has been wonderful!  My car was stolen out of our detached garage a week previously, so having an opener that is compatible with a wireless monitor that alerts us when the door is opened has given us some peace of mind.  The gate and gate opener, however,  posed some problems.  The gate opener is very technical and beyond our ability to troubleshoot, so we had to call him out a few times (once was our fault because we accidentally loosened the electrical connection without knowing it).  I felt terrible having to call him out since we live in Vacaville and he is all the way in Citrus Heights.  Most of the time, he came right out without any complaints.  We did, however, have a little trouble scheduling him once because his brother died, but he came out as soon as he returned from the funeral.  The latest problem was when the opener broke away from the gate.  Another gate opener installer told us the metal on the farm gate was too thin to hold the weight of the opener, and a metal "sleeve" should have been welded to the gate before welding the opener.  After a few tries to have Pat fix the problem (his wife was in the hospital), Pat came out and attached a "sleeve" to the gate then re-welded the opener to the "sleeve."  I asked him why he didn't do that in the first place, and he said he didn't have the metal and wanted to install the gate as quickly as possible for us.  Be assured that if he installs an opener to a farm gate in the future, he won't make that mistake again.  The gate opener has worked perfectly since then and is also connected wirelessly to a monitor that alerts us when the gate is open.  Overall, we are pleased with Pat's service.

The work was performed well in reasonable amount of time. Pat the owner was very helpful and provided useful info.

Pat was very responsive to email and phone calls. He gave us reasonable estimates for each proposed job, and visited our house to meet with us and discuss the specifics.
First, he installed our garage door mechanisms. It took him less than a day. They work perfectly and his prices were completely reasonable.
The installation of the garage door mechanisms was such a smooth transaction that we asked him for an estimate for an automatic gate and fencing for our driveway and the front of our property. He came up with a beautiful gate design and again gave us a very reasonable estimate. The gate is of high quality and just what we wanted in terms of design. He installed the gate and fencing in a timely manner and he was very pleasant and easy to work with through the entire process. We have had it for a few weeks now and we couldn't be happier with the result.
We would definitely hire Pat again for any fencing/gate/garage door work. He is a true professional.

After this service, I employed Bell Garage doors to replace two springs on my 16 foot door and was pleased with this service and cost.

The service provider responded within an hour of my calling for service, and with a friendly person setting up the appointment at my convenience.  While the service was set for the morning, the provider called and kept me informed when he hit a delay in a prior service call.  He postponed to early afternoon.  He arrived punctually, at the scheduled afternoon appointment.  He assessed the condition of the garage door, and suggested two options, clearly explaining the cost and benefit for both.
After allowing me time to consider, I decided on an option, and he proceeded to the next steps of the job.  He explained each step of the process while his staff was finishing each step.  He brought all the tools he needed, and had the correct replacement parts.  His knowledge and experience was enough to inform me along the way, but not overwhelm me with talk.  He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.  
After a quick 40 minutes, he was cleaning up his tools, and writing up an invoice for the job.  
I would recommend his services for a broken garage door again, definitely.

There were a few delays due to difficulty in getting the parts and a health crisis of a family member that Pat Bell had to attend to.  That is my only complaint about the job. Overall, Pat was friendly and highly competent on what turned out to be a difficult job.
