Ana Maria's house cleaning

I hired Ana Maria for a deep house cleaning and she came over to give me an estimate. She was very nice, yet very assertive and told me I had to do a deep cleaning first before they could do anything on a regular basis. I agreed, and she had 5 women come back the next week. During the cleaning she stopped by and told me that I had to add window cleaning and it would be another $200.00. I was fine with that, but she was so assertive that I almost felt like I didn't have an option. The night before the cleaning I placed 5 rings into a ring dish on my night stand. The next morning before they came the rings were still there and I did not move them because I have had my house cleaned many times over the years with no issues. I recently moved so I was using Ana Maria for the first time. The ring dish had 2 sterling silver not expensive rings, my wedding ring and anniversary band which were not soldered together, and the 5th one was my grandmothers wedding ring. That evening I looked in the ring dish to put my wedding ring and anniversary band on and the wedding ring was gone! Had it been ANY OTHER of the rings, I would never have suspected theft, I would have just thought I had misplaced it. HOWEVER, I NEVER, EVER, EVER wear my wedding ring without my anniversary band nor do I ever take them off separately. They are ALWAYS, without fail, together. They have never been worn separately in 12 years. EVER. The wedding ring happened to be the largest one so I am sure they took that one, and only one, hoping it would be a while before I noticed. This actually gets worse. When I confronted Ana Maria, her immediate reaction was rude, insulting and denial. She did not even take a breath before she accused me of lying. She could have totally handled it professionally and said something like, "I am so sorry you are missing your ring! I am not sure what happened, let me talk to my girls and I will get back to you right away." She refused to even investigate it! I am a small business owner myself and if someone accused me of this, I would investigate and try everything I could to figure it out! This gets even worse! She advertises that she is bonded and insured. Bonding is another form of insurance that covers theft. While she advertises this, she will never use it! She informed me she was not going to investigate, she was not going to call her bonding company, and she doesn't ever use her bond. She only advertises it to make people FEEL like they are safe and protected! The police are now investigating an have enough to prosecute since I have home surveillance cameras. But I will never, ever get my precious wedding ring back. Never use this company! Not only will her employees steal from you, she will never take responsibility for them!
