Paid up front cleaning and then they just disappeared

Initially, everything was fine. There was a period of time that the provider had family medical issues, and some appointments were changed. When we returned from our vacation in August, I tried to contact him to get our cleaning back on schedule. He rescheduled multiple times, and finally has quit responding to me as of September. I've tried to email him, but I get no response. I've tried to call and text him, he won't answer nor respond. Now I'm out a lump sum for services that are not being performed!
