Economy Upholstery

I contracted with Economy Upholstery to reupholster several chairs. The first three were picked up mid-October, but were not delivered to me until mid-December, even though they were promised within 5-7 working days. The cushion was too small, which should have been obvious to the upholsterer, as the chair looked bizarre with the too-small cushion. The piping was uneven and crooked in a few places. The upholsterer said he would fix the cushion by that Saturday, and I foolishly gave him two more chairs, after explaining to him very clearly that I needed them before Christmas, as I had house guests. He assured me I would have them in 5-7 working days. I finally got my chairs back this week (March 24th). That should say it all. The job was fair, there are some mistakes and the chairs were full of little bits and pieces of stuff from the shop, i.e. not cleaned up very well. The staples on the bottom of one chair immediately scratched my wood floor, even though I had asked for pads (not done). This job was one of the worst I've seen with regard to punctuality and service, although the price was decent for the so-so work. I had to call many times, and finally had to go in person to the shop.
