 + -1 moreI spoke with Dan Dufreynne at Duco several times as I had lots of questions and he was patient, helpful, and had a good sense of humor which helped a lot. I also dealt with Betty Martin at Duco and she was also always pleasant, and very helpful. The inspector that they sent out to the site was very nice, and did his job quickly. He also worked well with the contractor that was doing the pool removal and the job went smoothly and there were no holdups. The company did everything they could to keep the number of inspections to the minimum which kept the price down. As a result, the final price matched their estimated price which made me very happy. The report that I needed from them at the end of the job was done quickly. I recommend them highly.
Description of Work: We were removing a swimming pool and our city requires that we hire a soil engineer to oversee the removal and to test the soil for proper compaction as the pool is removed. We hired Duco Engineering after calling several firms because they explained what they would be doing, gave me an estimated price that sounded good, and were very helpful. They needed to come out and make sure that the top two feet of the pool edge was removed, and that holes were made in the bottom of the remaining pool shell to allow for drainage. Then they needed to come out as the pool was filled with dirt and test the dirt every two feet (vertically) to make sure that it was compacted to a particular density.
